We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lucia Colosio . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lucia below.
Lucia, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
Dance educates you in iron discipline, perseverance and absolute dedication. In fact, it shapes you not only as an Artist and Dancer, but also and above all as a Woman. I received it mostly in the academy, thanks to excellent and strict teachers, mostly Russian, and thanks above all to my family, who always made me understand how important it is to work hard in life, and above all in an honest way, and this shapes and shapes the character.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Lucia Colosio, a Professional classical and neoclassical dancer in carieer from 12 years in Italy, UK, Europe, USA and Cina.
I have danced in many theaters around the world, including the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London, National Theater in Beijing, National Theater of Shanghai for example.
Theaters are my Home.
Is where I really feel myself very well.
The stage is my home.
There, I express myself to the fullest and in total transparency.
I tell about myself, through the various roles, the various ballets, the various performances.
I love to excite, getting excited.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Absolutly Determination, humility and humanity. To those who are starting this journey, which I would define as a real journey of life and path of growth, even spiritual if experienced deeply, to be truly convinced in undertaking it. It’s really hard to be a professional dancer. You have to really love our work to do it. It is the most sublime, but the most difficult of all the Arts.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for and very eager for new artistic collaborations, with people, and therefore artists, who demonstrate great sensitivity towards art. For example, I work as a dancer for Andrea Bocelli mainly at the Teatro del Silenzio, and I have been a principal dancer for Hauser on various work occasions, for 2Cellos (there are our videos on YouTube if you wanna have a look). In Beijing I worked at the National Theater with Placido Domingo. At the Ariston in Sanremo I brought an entire show as lead dancer in “Sinfonia Italiana”, where as pianist Marcos Madrigal brought art with me on stage.
I love creating art and magic with artists with whom I find my own sensitivity.
I would really like to leave some of my art, perhaps even through work collaborations, in Miami. It’s been one of my big goals for a while now.
My boyfriend is a project manager, and we are building our future together in this sense too. He is a very determined and enterprising man, just like me. We are both elegant, but easy-going people, and very professional and precise at work. We would like to create entertainment events not only in Europe, but also and above all in the USA and the United Arab Emirates.
