Meet Jasmine Williamson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Williamson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jasmine, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my mother and the future I want from my family. My mother was a hard working single mom who provided to all three of her kids by any means. Growing up and seeing that and knowing that I want a better life for my family pushes me everyday to keep working on my business to become a successful entrepreneur.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
When I was in high school, I took an entrepreneurship class that introduced me to the idea of ‘I can be anything I want to be.’ After finishing the class and graduating from high school, I found my love for hair as family, friends, and even strangers complimented me on my wigs or even asked me for some hair advice. This sparked the idea and got the ball rolling for me to start Jae’s Hair Closet. I make and sell custom quality wigs that are meant to last my customers 2 years with quality care. Jae’s Hair Closet goal is to leave every customer feeling confident and beautiful.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back I feel that the three qualities I have that has been the most impactful on my journey is adaptability, persistence, and being more comfortable with the chance of failure. Being a entrepreneur comes with its highs and lows, but without these set of skills you will not last in entrepreneurship. You have to be brave enough to fail, you just can’t give up.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am looking to collaborate with other like minded business women. Hopefully in the future Jae’s Hair Closet can do some charity events with some other businesses. Jae’s Hair Closet is also open to collaborating with content creators to help get the word out about our amazing company. You can contact us via email at jaeshaircloset@yahoo.com.
