Meet Xander Woods

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Xander Woods. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Xander below.

Hi Xander , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Always staying true to myself was a big help. Knowing my talents and skills and pursuing them at a professional level, countless hours of practice and observing the most successful artists of our time. I was able to unlock my purpose through this and getting out of my comfort zone.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Im currently focused on the growth of my music career. I am currently a singer, RNB artist. Putting myself out more this year is a goal I have for this year specifically, the competition is rising and I want to make sure that my growth is still consistent and on pace with my expectations. I recently dropped my first single of the year “Let You Know” on all platforms. This is the first single from my upcoming EP coming later this year. I’m super excited to share this and have been working hard to make it extra special !

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Discipline- staying locked in on what has to be done and executing.

Consistency- staying locked in on timing and deadlines, posting all the time not slacking on content creation and posting for your audience!

Being yourself- this was a great skill everyone should have with art. Being your truest self is important for your output and passion. Imposter syndrome is common to happen and I learned through being yourself you out out more art that you love rather than what is trending just for plays

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents could have ever done for me is support me. Artist ate often scared of letting there parents know what they really want to do in life and what their passion and heart is at. It was hard at first moving away from my college degree and pursuing music full time. So it was a struggle to bring it up to my family. But after I told them and they supported me and had my back made me feel even more unstoppable.
