Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Meezy 53. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Meezy, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?
I’ve always found myself having issues following any set standard. I like to challenge everything to see whats outside the box. Once I began doing music as more than just a past time I found myself following in love with it. In turn it has opened up doors for expansion and opportunity. With that being said my community is supportive of me and together we push each other to be better tomorrow than we are today. You cannot do that without taking risk and pushing the envelope.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Persistence I think is the most valuable quality and skill in my journey. No matter what life throws at you ok a day to day schedule, the persistence is key in this game as well as life. You do something enough times you become an expert and thats my goal in everything I put my heart to.
As far as advice goes when it comes to being a hiphop artist I would say follow your heart. You are naturally accustomed to knowing what sounds good and what sounds bad. Make the steps to better your musical experience with your audience, while connecting with them. Those individuals will be the driving force of your success.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Im always open to collaborating. I recently got together with a few sync and licensing companies to try to push the music in a whole new media. Expanding past those boundaries of just releasing to DSP in hopes that your music touches the people. I want to put my art in front of everyone everywhere and unfortunately you cant do that without expanding your horizon and platform.
I always would love to work with other fellow artist so tap in and lets put it together.
