Meet Jasmine Hajimomen

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Hajimomen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jasmine, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Thank you for having me, it’s truly a pleasure to be here today to discuss such an important topic. I appreciate the opportunity to share insights from my own experiences.

Imposter Syndrome is something many of us face quietly, often without realizing it. While I haven’t fully conquered it, I’ve found that sticking to a routine that gradually builds my skills and confidence has made a big difference. This is particularly crucial in my role as a young tax strategist helping content creators and entrepreneurs navigate wealth management—an area typically dominated by more seasoned professionals.

What truly sets me apart is my deep understanding of my clients’ unique challenges and goals, something traditional accountants often overlook. I have a profound grasp of the nuances of how and when my clients earn their income, their potential write-offs, and their lifestyles, which significantly enhances my ability to plan and strategize for them effectively. This knowledge allows me to tailor tax planning strategies that are specifically designed to minimize their tax liabilities and optimize their financial outcomes.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of my work and the value I bring, which reassures me I’m in the right place. Even if experienced accountants have more years under their belt, they often lack the connection I have with my clients. This connection and understanding empower me to deliver tailored advice that truly fits their unique financial and personal circumstances.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My journey started in 1999 when my mom made the brave decision to move our family from Iran to the U.S. in search of a better future. Our migration story taught me resilience early on, and I started a small tax business at 16 while working at In-N-Out Burger, where I gained invaluable lessons in dedication.

In 2017, I saw a need for tax support among self-employed educators while teaching ESL online. I created a Facebook group that grew to 15,000 members, marking my entry into tax education for entrepreneurs. As an Enrolled Agent and certified Main Street Pro Tax Advisor, I specialize in tax strategy for content creators and entrepreneurs, developing tailored strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support growth.

My work has led to speaking engagements and a collaboration with Kevin Harrington of Shark Tank, underscoring the impact of my efforts. Balancing entrepreneurship with being a single mother to my son, Tarek, motivates me to secure his future and drive my success.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

When considering the qualities essential for personal and professional success, three virtues stand out as particularly impactful: faith, kindness, and resilience. Each has played a significant role in shaping my journey and continues to guide me every day.

1. Faith is the cornerstone of my success.** My faith in God is not merely a belief but the foundation upon which I build all aspects of my life and career. It is a real-life testimony to His power and will. I attribute my achievements not to my efforts alone but to the divine guidance and strength that have been pivotal in overcoming challenges. This unwavering faith sustains me through difficult times and reaffirms that my journey is shaped by something far greater than myself.

2. Kindness is always beneficial, no matter the circumstances.** Practicing kindness is about genuinely helping others without expecting anything in return. This quality not only fosters positive interactions but also reflects back into your own life, enriching it. Acts of kindness create a ripple effect, extending beyond immediate interactions and profoundly impacting others’ lives. Kindness is truly good and should be a guiding principle in both personal and professional settings, consistently leading to positive outcomes.

3. Resilience is indispensable, especially in entrepreneurship.** The entrepreneurial journey is marked by numerous challenges that test your strength and adaptability. Resilience is about bouncing back from setbacks with a renewed spirit and maintaining motivation despite obstacles. It involves harnessing each challenge as an opportunity to demonstrate perseverance and innovate solutions, ensuring continuous growth and success.
