Meet Heather Fraley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Heather Fraley . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Heather , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I believe my work ethic comes from many things. However, I would sum them down to two key factors. How I was raised, and life experiences. I was raised extremely old fashioned and in a low income home, I have watched both my parents work nonstop my entire life. They’re 70 and still maintaining working 70+ hours a week. I look up to my parents and was raised that you will only ever get, what you work hard for. Nothing in life will be handed to you and the easy route is never the correct path. My parents made sure to still maintain a family life and took us on 1 vacation every year. My grandmother had planned on taking us to Disneyland when she retired, but was murdered before retirement. After that my parents decided never to wait for later, to do things and experience everything you want to in life now. My life experiences have been pretty rough and obstacles by obstacles I keep pushing and working. We all have to start somewhere and at the beginning, however it is our choice on how much effort we put into our goals and how far we will end up going.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have only been in the film industry for 14 months, I have already earned 90 imdb credits, finished my first lead in a feature film, as Robin in “The truth about monsters” written and directed by Preston Walden that is about trafficking awareness. I’m about to film my second lead in a feature film this July, I’ve. Become partners on 3 different film productions. Domain Pictures productions, Shaver/Fraley Productions and Fear Fame Productions. As well created my own short film “White Poison” which was up for 10 nominations including best director and best overall picture, it won 1 award for the oif-Legend challenge. I am honored and blessed to have accomplished so much in so little time and have nothing but intentions on continuing to learn and grow in the film industry.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
3 qualities that I believe were most impact full on this incredible journey would be, how I was raised, my life experiences and my sister teaching me to never give up. She passed away 5 years ago due to cancer, she was given 3-6 months to live however she said I’m not going anywhere until my 2 daughters are old enough to remember me. She fought like crazy and lived on 10 more years before passing due to the cancer.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always looking for people to collaborate with, to learn from and to grow further. I love meeting and working with new people and being able to take in any knowledge or experiences possible.
