Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bri Logue. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bri, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
For me, building confidence and self-esteem has been a journey of staying true to myself and my commitments. As Andy Frisilla wisely puts it, “self-confidence starts with keeping the promises you make to yourself,” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s about setting goals, and holding myself accountable to them – or better yet, having a supportive community that helps keep me on track.
Starting small is key. Whether it’s committing to a healthier lifestyle or tackling challenges in my business, taking those first steps and sticking to them builds momentum and boosts my confidence. When I see progress, especially in areas like fitness where I’ve set goals and achieved them, it empowers me to tackle other aspects of my life with the same determination.
But confidence in business doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, practice, and yes, making plenty of mistakes along the way. What keeps me going is the belief that everything is figureoutable. Knowing that there’s always a solution, even in the face of challenges, gives me the courage to keep pushing forward.
Completing 75Hard was a game-changer for me. It taught me the power of discipline, resilience, and consistency. Those 75 days of intense commitment – no excuses, no shortcuts – transformed not just my body but also my mindset. I learned to push past my limits, embrace discomfort, and trust in my ability to overcome challenges that pop up.
And of course, faith plays a huge role for me. Having faith in myself, my abilities, and my path gives me a sense of purpose and direction. It reminds me that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, even when things get tough.
So, in a nutshell, building confidence and self-esteem is about staying true to yourself, staying committed to your goals, embracing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, and having faith in yourself and your journey. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
It all started back in 2018 when I founded Ivory Media Solutions, a digital marketing agency aimed at helping local businesses thrive in the online space. What excites me most about this venture is the opportunity to empower businesses with the tools and strategies they need to succeed in today’s digital landscape. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see our clients grow and flourish as a result of our work together.
In 2020, I made the bold decision to relocate from Maine to Texas, seeking new opportunities and a change of scenery. Little did I know that this move would lead to even more exciting ventures on the horizon.
In 2022, I embarked on another exciting endeavor by launching Women Empower Wednesdays, a podcast dedicated to spotlighting female entrepreneurs and their inspiring journeys. Through engaging conversations and insightful interviews, I aim to empower women to pursue their passions and thrive in the world of business.
One of the most significant developments came in 2021 when my husband Ky and I launched We Buy Sad Houses, a real estate investment company focused on helping homeowners facing difficult situations. This venture allowed us to combine our passions for entrepreneurship and helping others in a meaningful way.
But perhaps the most exciting evolution came when we developed a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system that revolutionized our workflow and efficiency in the real estate industry. This system worked so well for us that we decided to take it a step further and offer it to other wholesalers and investors. And thus, Investor Plug was born.
Working alongside my husband Ky has been an incredible journey filled with ups and downs, but ultimately, it’s strengthened our partnership and allowed us to achieve things we never thought possible. Together, we’ve learned the importance of communication, collaboration, and unwavering support for each other’s dreams.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say three things really stood out on my journey: goal setting, staying adaptable, and being a lifelong learner.
Goal Setting: Having clear goals kept me on track and motivated. For anyone just starting out, I’d say take the time to set those goals, break them down into smaller steps, and keep checking in to see how you’re doing. And don’t be afrfaid to change them!
Adaptability: Being able to roll with the punches is so important. Things change fast, and being able to adjust your plans accordingly is key. My advice? Embrace change as an opportunity to grow. This one is still a work in progress and I have to remind myself daily sometimes.
Continuous Learning: I’m always reading, listening to podcasts, and trying to soak up new information. For anyone starting out, I’d say never stop learning. There’s always something new to discover, and it can only make you better.
And don’t forget about setting boundaries! It’s crucial for maintaining balance and looking after your mental health. Know your limits, and don’t be afraid to say no when you need to.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
These three books have been absolute game-changers for me:
“The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy: This book is like my go-to guide for understanding the power of consistency. Hardy breaks down how the little things we do every day add up over time to create massive results. It’s all about those small, consistent actions that compound into something extraordinary. So, whether it’s in your business, health, or relationships, embracing the compound effect can totally transform your life. It’s a reminder that every choice matters, no matter how small, and that staying committed to positive habits pays off big time in the long run.
“The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brené Brown: This book is all about letting go of the pressure to be perfect and instead embracing our messy, authentic selves. It’s about finding courage in vulnerability, practicing self-compassion, and cultivating meaningful connections. Reading this book was a game-changer for me—it taught me to lean into my imperfections, show up authentically, and embrace the beauty of being human.
“The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg: This one is a total eye-opener when it comes to understanding how habits shape our lives. Duhigg dives into the science behind habits and how we can use that knowledge to create positive change. From understanding the habit loop to harnessing the power of keystone habits, this book is packed with practical insights and real-life examples. It’s all about breaking free from autopilot mode, rewiring our brains, and creating habits that align with our goals and values.
Each of these books has offered invaluable nuggets of wisdom that have helped shape my mindset, habits, and approach to life. If you haven’t read them yet, I highly recommend adding them to your reading list!
