Meet Cricchi

We recently connected with Cricchi and have shared our conversation below.

I am , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I had a great childhood until my parents got divorced. Depression was an instant struggle and I ended up in trouble often. Group homes and juvenile facilities were familiar to me. I Ended up addicted to drugs by the time I was 17 and was in and out of jail until 25. Through all of that the only consistent thing was the fact that I wrote music to stay alive. At times other artists music would be my saving grace, sometimes it was my own. But throughout all my life since 2nd grade writing music has helped me. It wasn’t until 5 years ago I started taking it serious and releasing music to find out how much it could help other people. Over the past 5 years I’ve reached hundreds of thousands of people but the purpose lies in the ones that I help. The ones that reach out to say “you saved my life” or “you helped me grow” or anything to let me know I’ve helped them. It’s made me realize all of this is so much bigger than me. That’s how I found my purpose.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I love being an artist. It allows me to express my true feelings and bond with people around the world who feel the same way.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resilience, patience and dedication are 3 big ones. But I’ve been at this for 5 strong years and haven’t “made it” yet. It’s a long road but worth it if it’s where your passion lies.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
Balance. I stay at home with my son and work every second I’m able too. Then when I’m not working I’m working on music investing to the point where I fall behind. The bigger the move the higher the cost. Doing things completely independent comes with losses and lessons along the way.
