Meet Bryan Delgado

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bryan Delgado a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Bryan, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
Since 1989, my father, Luis Delgado, has been the epitome of hard work and perseverance. From my earliest memories, he instilled in me the importance of diligence and the value of every hard-earned dollar. I can still recall the evenings when I’d eagerly await his return from work, his weary frame trudging through the door after enduring sweltering 100-degree days in the construction field. Despite his exhaustion, he never wavered in his determination to provide for our family.

With two jobs – one as a dishwasher and the other in construction – my father shouldered the immense responsibility of being the sole breadwinner while my mother dedicated herself to nurturing our family at home. His dream was unwavering: to buy us a home, a dream he tirelessly pursued with unwavering dedication. Through his relentless work ethic and unyielding resolve, my father eventually achieved his goal, securing not only a home for us but his dream home in Mexico, nestled next to our grandmother. Witnessing his journey has taught me invaluable lessons in resilience and the power of hard work to turn dreams into reality.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
n 2017, I launched my brand as a sole operator, embracing the title of an “onetrepreneur.” The journey has been a marathon, not a sprint. Along the way, I encountered countless rejections before finally securing that pivotal “yes.” The memory of receiving my first significant paycheck – $2,900 – remains etched in my mind as a triumphant moment, fueling my ambition and solidifying my belief in the limitless possibilities ahead. Today, operating in 30 states across the country, The Social Production has expanded into three distinct businesses, including DFW Flower Wall (a rental prop company) and Co-owner Creativ Co (an event production company), all stemming from its humble beginnings. My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs echoes my own journey: focus on mastering your craft and becoming the best in your field before venturing into new endeavors. In my spare time, I devote myself to updating our websites, showcasing the latest trends and fashion in props, or assisting fellow entrepreneurs in optimizing their online presence through SEO consultation, ensuring that The Social Production continues to thrive and evolve in an ever-changing landscape.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Stop being cheap. Strive to offer and invest in the highest quality products and services. Growth requires investing in yourself and your company; being cheap will only hold you back. Too many individuals prioritize personal wealth over the expansion of their businesses, hindering their potential for growth.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Operating in 30 states has presented its fair share of challenges, each market unique and demanding. Navigating this expansion has been both daunting and fulfilling. As business owners, we often find ourselves wearing multiple hats, juggling various roles and responsibilities. However, through strategic hiring and delegation, I’ve managed to shed the burden of 40 hats, streamlining operations and improving efficiency. This year, recognizing the need to strengthen weaker areas of the business, I made the decision to bring on board six new staff members, each selected for their expertise and ability to elevate the company to new heights.
