Meet ONLY1 THEORY

We were lucky to catch up with ONLY1 THEORY recently and have shared our conversation below.

ONLY1 , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I chose this question because it resonates deeply with me. I developed my confidence by going through life and having to be in situations where the only person who believed in me was me. I accept that my vision or desire wouldn’t be placed in my heart if I wasn’t able to manifest it. I work at perfecting my craft and also take time to balance myself spiritually and mentally. This gives me confidence and peace. As a child growing up, I had to be my own cheerleader. I had to be my own ‘pat on the back.’ I always had confidence in knowing that God created me and is within me. I always felt a deep sense of purpose for being on this Earth and this time. That gives me confidence. I had deep insecurities that I have since acknowledged and worked through. I have forgiven and released so much. I work on releasing fear and just doing everything from a place of love within.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a recording artist, producer, composer and audio engineer. I worked in the industry and decided to create an indie label, Rare Gold Music Group. I could forsee the paradigm shift in the business of music. I wanted to create an independent platform for myself and other creatives that provides ownership and encourages genuine artistic expression. I had a major song placement on the tv show “All American”

I am excited. I have a new single “La Jefecita” releasing this Friday, March 29th. In addition, we partnered with Street Lawyer Services to do an amazing 420 event. I will be doing a live in store performance, releasing a 4/20 exclusive single “Grass Lady” and raffle giveaway. I will be bringing the Somewhere Ova East Tour back this year!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowledge of self. Know yourself on a deep level. Know when to listen and when to speak. Act with intention. Have an understanding of spiritual knowledge and wisdom. Have fun and move from your heart. Ask the Universe for wisdom. Be yourself. Enjoy the process. Take nothing for granted. Remove the wrong people from your life. Be a person of virtue. Have a positive outlook. Give what you want to receive but don’t give from the place of receiving.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
A few of the books that have impacted my life are The Wisdom of Maat, 1984, Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior, The Law Of One and Success is a Choice by Rick Patino.
