Meet Allison Griffith

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Allison Griffith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Allison below.

Allison, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found early on that making others smile through food is what I feel like, has always been my purpose in my life. Growing up, you could always find me baking something in the kitchen of my childhood home with my mother. Having made something with my own two hands that can light up the faces of others brings me immeasurable joy. I live for those types of moments.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I started Allison’s Petite Pastries out of my own home in 2020. By February 2022, we had officially signed the lease on our brick-and-mortar location in Ramsey, MN. I chose to locate my business here because this is my hometown and I have lived here for most of my life, this bakery would be my way of giving back to this wonderful community. Before our doors opened for business in August 2022, the city of Ramsey had never had its own bakery location. This was always my goal since I was a kid, to be able to provide my community with local, custom made-to-order desserts and cakes. We always strive to be able to have our creations be something that everyone can enjoy. We try our best to always have menu items that accommodate diets that are sensitive to gluten, dairy, or animal products. Dessert is my favorite part of any meal, so it was a necessity to make sure that the products we create here can be enjoyed by all.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My team has been the most helpful throughout this entire venture. This team consists mostly of family, and I am lucky enough to have my parents, grandparents, and cousins assisting me and helping to make this dream become a reality. They are the ones I lean on the most, providing invaluable advice and guidance. I do have other team members that are not family by blood but have become family to me. At times, it can be stressful being the one everyone looks at for instructions or to provide solutions, but they are always there to remind me to take a deep breath when needed.
