Meet Stacy Fritz

We recently connected with Stacy Fritz and have shared our conversation below.

Stacy, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
In 2020, my only sibling, my brother Brad, died from colon cancer at ONLY 49 years old. He was a pilot for Southwest Airlines, Dad to 3 amazing kids, and an incredible son, brother, uncle and friend. During his cancer journey, my brother and I worked relentlessly to not only help him heal but also to help him heal without relying on painkillers.
Why? He wanted to fly again.
Even with a yoga and meditation background, I found it challenging to successfully teach him how to tap into the power of the breath, especially when he was in pain.
Before my brother died, I had this crazy idea that instead of teaching my brother guided breathing exercises, maybe he needed something to SHOW him how to train his breath to manage pain, stress and anxiety.
Those thoughts were the first concept of the vidaBALL, a tool to help my brother learn how to breathe a better breath.
3 1/2 years later…the vidaBALL, my  heart project, in the name of my brother, Brad Kam, has been launched.
For every vidaBALL sold, a donation will be made to Believe Big, a non-profit organization helping families face, fight and overcome cancer.

Creating the vidaBALL in honor of my late brother, Brad, helped me find my purpose in a profound way. Through Brad’s cancer journey, I witnessed firsthand the power of resilience and the importance of finding holistic approaches to managing pain and stress. The idea for the vidaBALL stemmed from my desire to provide Brad with a tangible tool to train his breath and alleviate his suffering. This journey of innovation and dedication allowed me to channel my grief into a meaningful endeavor, giving me a sense of purpose by helping others facing similar challenges. The vidaBALL became more than just a product; it became a symbol of hope, resilience, and love, all inspired by Brad’s enduring spirit.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Sure. My goal is to ignite a transformation in workplace cultures, fostering healthier micro habits that ripple outward to create a happier, more vibrant world. I see a future where individuals are not only empowered to prioritize their well-being because it feels incredible, but also because they recognize the profound impact it has on those around them, inspiring a collective commitment to holistic health ownership.

Whether I’m in or out  of the office, my mission is the same- to help people move their bodies and quiet their minds. Whether I’m leading a sweaty boot camp, droppin’ a beat in my spin class or getting bendy teaching yoga, I have a passion for mindfulness and movement.

I want to inspire art of developing habits at work that are living giving instead of soul sucking. I also believe that by incorporating small daily habits, we can navigate life’s challenges with grace, happiness, and integrity, especially at work.

I have been happily married to my husband, David for an incredible 30 years. I’m a mom to three remarkable young men. Our oldest son saves people money as a mortgage lender, our 2nd son is training in the military special forces to save lives, and the youngest—well, let’s just say he’s mastering the art of savoring his best life in college.

I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with prestigious organizations like Ernst & Young, the US Naval Academy, Kelly Benefits, United Health Care, Believe Big, and Baltimore City Government. As the President/CEO of FIT2order and the creator behind the vidaBALL (a handheld device I created to help people manage daily stress and anxiety), I want to continue to shake-up well-being  in the corporate world.

I believe that when we own our health, we elevate our lives.

I have served on the Board of Advisors for the non-profit organization, Believe Big and continues my work as a patient advocate for those on the cancer journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful are resilience, empathy, and creativity.

Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and overcome challenges has been crucial in navigating the highs and lows of my journey. To develop resilience, it’s essential to cultivate a growth mindset, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and practice self-care to recharge.

Empathy: Understanding and empathizing with the experiences of others, such as my brother Brad’s struggle with cancer, has been instrumental in shaping my perspective and driving my actions.

Creativity: The ability to think outside the box and innovate has been essential in conceptualizing and bringing the vidaBALL to life. To foster creativity, cultivate curiosity, explore new ideas and perspectives, and embrace experimentation and risk-taking.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to focus on developing and improving these qualities.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My brother. Brad’s memory has been the most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and develop essential skills, qualities, and knowledge needed for success. His resilience in the face of cancer served as a guiding light. My relationship with my brother continues to be invaluable, inspiring me to persevere through obstacles and strive for excellence. His impact on my life continues to shape me into the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for his celestial influence and inspiration.
