Meet Brooklynne Hand

We were lucky to catch up with Brooklynne Hand recently and have shared our conversation below.

Brooklynne, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
I thrive on the energy of haters and naysayers, they’re like my personal entertainment amongst the chaos of my busy life. It’s hilarious how people who couldn’t direct their way out of a paper bag have the audacity to critique my work. Even those who can’t even scrape together a dime can’t dim my shine, I’m unstoppable.

I owe my unshakeable confidence to my upbringing. My parents taught me to stand tall and never apologize for pursuing my dreams. So, to those who wish me ill, I offer nothing but unconcern. But hey, if my ego needs a little boost, they might just find themselves to be the next theme featured in my next masterpiece. It’s all just fuel for the fire of my relentless ambition.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My brand, ArtofElisee, is all about creative directing, where I’m deeply passionate about storytelling and bringing narratives to life through visuals. I develop and direct photoshoots for clients with new and upcoming brands, direct music videos, commercial’s, and even personal photoshoots. What sets my work apart is a commitment to authenticity and innovation, always pushing boundaries to create impactful stories and always bringing visions to reality.

Excitingly, I’m launching a new tech-based brand called “Swe-eties,” directing a short film based on my parents’ HBCU love story, hosting girl talk panels, creating events focused on empowering women, and writing my first children’s book. It’s a new chapter in my journey, and I’m thrilled to finally share!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’ve found three qualities to be profoundly impactful on my journey. Resilience, creativity, and adaptability. Resilience has carried me through tough times, teaching me to see setbacks as stepping stones. Creativity has fueled innovation, adding a unique touch to my work. Adaptability has kept me relevant in a rapidly changing world.

To those starting out, my piece of advice is, “that move you’re scared to make might just be the one that answers your prayers”. Give yourself grace and enjoy the process.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who craves the extraordinary and going above and beyond, or someone who ventures into the unknown with open arms, placing full trust in my creative vision. It’s incredibly fulfilling to collaborate with individuals who are unafraid to explore new heights of imagination and allow creativity to flow freely.

I equally love clients who come with a clear vision yet seek assistance in bringing it to reality. These clients, with their defined goals and aspirations, provide a canvas onto which I can swiftly breathe life, transforming their ideas into reality with efficiency and finesse.

Overall, I cherish all my clients who value creativity, trust, and collaboration. Whether it’s guiding them through uncharted territories or refining their existing concepts, I thrive on the opportunity to create something truly special together.
