Meet LaDonna Claude

We recently connected with LaDonna Claude and have shared our conversation below.

Hi LaDonna, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose through the loss of my father, who passed away due to cirrhosis of the liver caused by his alcoholism and smoking. My father was an alcoholic who drank excessively and smoked, and I have turned my bloodline into a safety advocate to save lives.

My father’s death was a difficult experience for me, but it also inspired me to find my purpose. I have taken my pain and turned it into a passion for helping others. Through education, compassion, and unwavering commitment, I aim to save lives and prevent others from experiencing the same loss that I have.

My empathy, born from love and loss, has become a beacon in the darkness. My father’s legacy lives on through me, urging me forward to make a difference. No one deserves to die alone, and I am committed to ensuring that others do not suffer the same fate as my father.

In conclusion, my purpose is to save lives and make a positive impact on others. I have found my voice and my mission, and I will continue to work tirelessly to achieve my goals.

Before we dig deeper, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself?
I am on LinkedIn, and I am currently focusing on bringing awareness as a Safety Advocate and an Author of Consequences and Compassion. I am a speaker who also attended this year’s NTEA Distracted Driving panel in Indianapolis, IN, this past March. I love to share stories that majority individuals/family can not speak about, so I am their voice. I speak for the dead because they cannot talk, I speak to the living to educate them and bring awareness, and I speak about the 3 D’s: Drunk, Drugged and Distracted Driving in a compassion way even addressing the ones who have a DWI . I am working on another book.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been active listening, empathy and compassion, and effective communication. My advice for those starting their journey is to take safety seriously, practice self-love and compassion, and turn pain into power by sharing stories to save lives.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
As for a book that has played an important role in my development, the Bible has been significant. It has helped shape me into the woman I am today, emphasizing honoring God, having faith, continuous learning, and loving others as God loves me.
