Meet Renata Comeaux

We recently connected with Renata Comeaux and have shared our conversation below.

Renata, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I think that we have to find I always try. to find the positive in every situation and I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and I have great people around me that offer great deal of support.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I was born and raised in Rio; I started my career in consumer marketing in Brazil. Moved to the US in the beginning of 2000s and then migrated to business marketing, first in the Oil & Gas area and then in Banking. I met Cory, my business partner, during my time in banking. Cory was my vendor and used to run my conferences.

After many years on the client side, I founded R2CW with Cory. Since 2016, R2CW has being the agency of choice for a diverse number of clients in the food & beverage, beauty, financial, and non-profit sectors. I am a single parent, and I have a daughter and son.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Not afraid of taking risks – I switched from the corporate world to be being and entrepreneur in NYC. I think you need a good dose of risk taking and excitement to do that. I is not an easy ride but one I am very grateful and proud of.

Disciplined – I believe that you need a good amount of discipline to be successful in everything you do. I am really committed and hard working. When your motivation is low your discipline takes over and makes it possible to achieve your goal.

Perseverance – I am very determined and dedicated. I do not give up easily. I insist until all options have been exhausted

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Having a supportive and strong family base has given me the ability to fight and withstanding whatever comes my. way. Just by being loved and having that unconditional support makes you resilient
