Meet Karrie & Amanda, owners of MPower Marketing Group

We recently connected with Karrie LeBlanc and Amanda Reynolds and have shared our conversation below.

Karrie LeBlanc and Amanda Reynolds, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
In our career journey, discovering our purpose was like stumbling upon a hidden treasure when our paths crossed over a decade ago, working together in a pediatric dental office (shoutout to Dr. Eric LeBlanc in Bossier City, LA!). It felt like a divine meeting – a perfect blend of shared passion for marketing and an exceptional work environment. We were surrounded by an amazing work family and led by a generous boss who not only believed in our skills but also shared our faith in Jesus. To top it off, we were coached by a business consultant who recognized our potential for greatness, cheered us on and equally challenged us.

Our paths, though unique, kept converging in an amazing way. Our love for marketing grew stronger, fueled by the dream of creating a business that mirrored the positive team culture we cherished from our earlier collaboration. We’d often talk about starting a venture together, envisioning a place where others could experience the same support and positivity we once enjoyed.

The revelation of our purpose unfolded gradually, guided by what felt like a divine plan. God placed a calling in our hearts and, with each small step towards Him, we felt a reassuring sense of affirmation.

As for our former boss at the pediatric dental office, Dr. Eric LeBlanc, he eventually retired, and with his departure, there was a sense that his legacy might fade away. But we were on a mission to keep that legacy alive, not necessarily in the form of another pediatric dental office, but through the enduring lessons of commitment and care we learned from him. Our goal was to reignite the flame he started and perpetuate the values he instilled in us.
This commitment is beautifully symbolized in the phoenix within our logo, carrying a double meaning. Firstly, it represents taking Dr. LeBlanc’s legacy, the seeds of inspiration he planted within all of us, and allowing them to rise from the ashes. Secondly, the phoenix embodies the mission of MPower Marketing Group – to be a guiding light for other business owners who might feel their enterprise is facing challenges. We’re here to breathe new life into struggling businesses, rekindle that entrepreneurial fire and help them rise triumphantly from the ashes of adversity.
The journey has had its fair share of challenges but our conviction is unwavering – we’re here for a purpose. That purpose is to be an arrow, directing attention back to Jesus in every aspect of our lives, especially in running a business and helping others achieve their goals.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We’re not your average marketing agency; we’re a southern boutique marketing agency with a mission that goes beyond simply boosting our clients’ businesses. At MPower Marketing Group, our passion runs deep – we’re driven by the desire to empower small business owners and their teams, igniting a transformation in workplace culture.

Our vision is to redefine what it means to “have a job” or “be an employer.” We’re committed to empowering, educating and inspiring a shift in mindset within the workforce. We aim to create nurturing work environments where employees feel valued, comfortable and ultimately, loyal to their employers and the businesses they represent. We firmly believe that impactful marketing starts from within. By focusing on the “WHY” before diving into the “HOW,” we’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power it holds. This approach is not just a strategy for us; it’s the very foundation upon which MPower Marketing Group was built. We’re here to make a difference – for the business owner, every team member, and the clients they serve.

As for our services, we offer a comprehensive range to meet our clients’ diverse needs. Whatever it takes to help our clients thrive and leave a lasting impact, we’re dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on our journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge stand out as particularly impactful:

Passion and Purpose: Our unwavering passion for marketing and our deep sense of purpose in empowering small business owners were driving forces throughout our journey. This passion fueled our determination, creativity, and resilience, helping us navigate challenges and stay focused on our goals.

Relationship Building and Collaboration: Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and mentors played a crucial role in our success. Collaborating effectively with others allowed us to leverage diverse perspectives, learn from different experiences and create synergies that propelled us forward.

Adaptability and Continuous Learning: In the dynamic world of marketing, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning are essential. Staying abreast of industry trends, embracing new technologies, and being open to change enabled us to stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

For those early in their journey, here’s some advice on how to develop or improve these qualities:

Follow Your Passion: Identify what truly excites and motivates you. Pursue opportunities aligned with your passions and interests, as this will sustain your enthusiasm and drive.

Invest in Relationships: Cultivate genuine connections with others in your field. Network, seek out mentors and collaborate with peers. Building strong relationships not only enriches your professional life but also opens doors to new opportunities.

Embrace Learning and Adaptation: Stay curious and committed to lifelong learning. Keep up with industry developments, explore new skills and technologies, and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
First and foremost there is God. We pray for guidance and wisdom, peace and patience. He has blessed us by putting a number of people in our path and the two mentors we want to mention are:

(1) Our mentor Sharon (Business Consultant). She has worked with us since our days at Dr. LeBlanc’s office! She has been absolutely instrumental in helping us propel forward as quickly as we have, with no debt and a solid, scalable foundation. She is 20+ years ahead of us and has so much knowledge that she freely gives to us to help us be successful.

(2) Mark Kogut (Pediatric Dentist) was another person who had a huge impact on our team and what MPower is today. His vision and willingness to mentor us through leadership and business development has been a key piece to our success.

We are so very grateful for both of these wonderful humans! God has also given us amazing support systems within both of our families. Our husbands, parents, in-laws and friends are all literally the best! What more could we ask for?
