Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natalie Hernandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Natalie, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I would have to say that my work ethic comes from both of my parents. My parents showed me and instilled in my sister and I the work ethic we have today. As Cuban immigrants, they came here to pursue the American Dream. Without their hard work and dedication to their kids, I don’t know where we would be today.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Here at HDZ Permit Solutions, we strive to be the best in the industry, whether it’s doing the most minute things for our clients or going above and beyond. Every single day brings new opportunities and challenges which makes it so much more exciting to get up in the morning. My sister and I try to find more ways to learn and serve our clients the best we can. As of recently, HDZ Permit Solutions is now offering new expediting services for roofing, fence, siding and exterior paint service. As we grow and continue to acquire more and more insight in our field, we enjoy sharing it with our clients to better serve them.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three most important qualities I would say are being persistent, consistent, and having the will to learn. Being your worst critic will help you improve in many areas which you have made mistakes in. The best way to learn is by learning from your mistakes. That means you’re just that much closer to success!
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Many times, while working with permits which can be very time-sensitive, the stress of not having a quick turnaround time from the counties you submit to can be extremely frustrating. This can cause even our clients to be upset. But the best thing we can think of to help with this is being honest and up-front with our clients. We do not like to set certain expectations that we know cannot be met. We explain to them the best we can and try our best on our end to do things as quickly as we can. This helps our clients feel at ease and makes us a lot less overwhelmed.
