Meet Bianca Mojica-Torres

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bianca Mojica-Torres. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bianca below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Bianca with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My mother. She is the most hard working person I know. Growing up I saw her raise 4 girls all on her own while working daily 14 hour shifts just to provide food on our table and a home over our heads. There were times where she would take us to her Job and we sat in the back. Sometimes I would peak over and observe everything she did. I have asked her “ mom, come le hicistes? “ and she’ll say “ Quieres que echarle muchas ganas mija. “

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a first gen Latina , born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and the owner of Beevents. Beevents started as a small event planning business that has grown into coordinating one of the most important days in someone’s life. Wedding day! It has been such a wonderful and literally eventful journey. Being able to assist our couples coordinate and organized their weddings with vendor management , timeline creations and other important tasks on their big day has been so rewarding. When the day goes according to plan and I see the couples living in the moment and smiling, I can help but feel so much joy in my heart. I don’t do this alone though. I can’t go without giving my husband a huge shout out for always being so supportive and coming along with me to every event. Overall, just being my partner through this thing we call life. We look forward to what is in store for us and are happy to announce we have only a couple of dates available in 2024. We already started booking for 2025! We couldn’t be more excited to see what’s in store in the future!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would have to say organization, communication, and problem solving would be some of the main skills that have been the most impactful. Without those, things could fall apart so easily. I have had to learn from my mistakes but also took into consideration that building a business is not easy and good things do not happen overnight. It’s a lot of trial and error but the more questions you ask and the more research you do the better. Imposter syndrome is a real thing! I constantly have to remind myself “ Rome was not built in a day “. You have to believe in yourself and know that if it’s in you, anything is possible. Keep learning and asking questions! That’s how we grow.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
If at any moment I feel overwhelmed, I Breathe, Analyze, and start over. In a panic state of mind everything seems impossible. It’s okay to take a moment and try again. At times it is easier said then done but we gotta echarle ganas.
