Celeste, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Being a believer of the most high, I believe that we are all given the gift of manifestation. With that being said; I believe that when people set me apart and make me feel less than I tell myself over and over again within myself that I am capable and that I am worthy! When I start doing that on a regular basis beautiful things start to unfold in my favor!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Celeste Hawkins, and I am owner of Any Time Pretty Time Medspa which is located in Katy,Texas. My career in this industry started back in 2012.I really wanted to be a help and service cancer survivors. I was already a hairstylist at the time, but I have an entrepreneurial spirit. I wanted to stay within the beauty industry but eventually want to be able to remove myself from behind the chair. I really was fascinated with permanent make up so I got certified in permanent make up for brows, scalp and areola rejuvenation for cancer survivors. Over the years the brand has broaden in to other services like facials, body contouring and even launching my own organic skin Line! I love doing events all around Houston, spreading the word about small business and about my brand. Being a small business owner, those little milestones bring great joy to my life And remind me of my true purpose within the industry. I am also a beauty ambassador for little kids all around the United States. I do zoom calls with them and let them know that the beauty industry is a great career to be a part of! My goals for the future for Any Time Pretty Time is to have more events centered around evolving our youth! Being a voice and advocate for them and building their self-esteem from the inside and letting them know that they are worth it!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Always make sure to invest in yourself! Whether it’s education for even your finances it is important to always try to elevate yourself within your career. Always be in the top 20 and never in the bottom 80! Meaning; always do little things each day to elevate your career! Don’t complain about not having a service fuck or a client not in your chair! Try to brainstorm in your downtime ways to get new clients. One little step forward or one seed planted can really flourish your life in the future. make each and every interaction counts! Customer Service is so important. Even if we get annoyed with the people we come across, don’t let it show! Because their experience with you and that they might change their day for the better and I believe that we should always try to impact others with positivity each and every day !

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I am an earth sign so I love to be in nature. Our thing is when you put your feet into the grass and you resonate with the earth, I know it sounds strange but it really does calm your overall energy. Laughter is another thing I look forward to when I’m stressed. Lastly, just talking about my day with my loved ones is very therapeutic to me and it helps me unleash all of the different energies that I’ve come across throughout the day.
