Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to L Wheeler. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
L, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from an alignment with the fundamental laws of ABUNDANCE and my intention to support my mission work.
There is always enough for ALL. I learned through my natural born family what toxic generosity looked like. Some people over-take and then try to make up by giving. This is out of balance we all receive when we give. Giving and receiving should be balanced and equal.
In the Lakota tradition a person is judged not by what they take (make) but how much they give away. I live by this. I am a minimalist so I am not motivated by the mass accumulation of things. Yet I am a fine artist who sells very expensive artwork. Part of my journey was understanding the responsibility that comes with 8 figure sales. Where does the energy go? How can it support my MISSION Work and provide a proud, strong legacy for my family.
My chief aim in life is to save as much land for conservation as possible. Art sales into acres of land. Land protected to preserve the harmony and balance of nature when full of indigenous plants and a diverse set of species.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am L. An artist. #thefinestartist {Link: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/thefinestartist/}
I am a fine artist. I create one of a kind paintings with powerful presence.
I am an abstract expressionist. I use color and form to express a powerful spectrum of emotions. Ultimately all my work has a high vibration even if the emotion is “dark” or difficult. I really want to help people feel again. Feel what they feel. And feel understood by the vibration of the piece.
Many of my paintings change depending on the lighting. Combined with music the feeling changes. Showing how perspective changes meaning. I don’t tell my collectors what to feel about the painting. I share the rainbow of experience I had while navigating emotions such as Rage, heart ache, self empowerment, self love, parent hood, unconditional love…etc.
I am a trail blazer. Forging my own path as a business savvy creative entrepreneur. Using passion, determination and talent to support my life mission and family. I want to empower artist by being an example of a better way to share and sell art. In my former life I worked in business strategy so I am savvy.
My mission on this EARTH is to support mother nature in maintaining harmony and balance among the diverse species living together. I do this by using my talents and skills as an environmental activist. I serve on the Board of Directors for WiNN Women in Nature Network – an organization empowering women in conservation science through connection, mentorship and
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The following abilities served me in both good and bad situations
Ability to ask the right questions. More intelligent people ask more questions. I think fast and deep so I have more questions.
>> Ties into my primary ability to see 100 times more colors. I see more. So I have more to ask. Asking and then most importantly actively listening can really reveal the knowledge one needs at anytime.
Asking questions also makes decisions feel more solid. I did the due diligence I addressed all my internal urges. I feel and make better decisions.
Ability to see all sides objectively. Being objective is the same as being one minded, centered. Consider the other side and the slightly right or left of you side, Then act according to your own internal compass tuned to a higher purpose. If you want to become more objective start by considering the position of someone who is the complete opposite of you. Just observe. Don’t judge. A meditation technique from Jeffrey Allen does this perfectly!
Knowing myself. And learning to manage myself. Getting to know ourself is our own specific life path. The good, bad and mundane. Who am I. What is driving my decisions. Why am I interested in achieving my goals. Then understand emotions and reactions. Why do I shut love out of my life? Why am I so germ aware? Then learn to laugh at it all.
Learning to love self disciple. Being accountable feels so great. It also opens the energy wasted on denial to be used for a better purpose what can I change? It’s okay to make mistakes and necessary to fail forward. Putting the perfectionist, critic and sarcastic frenemy on the self opens the door for being accountable then using the knowledge to grow and better.

My collectors are first of foremost people with exceptional taste and intelligence. My art takes the viewer into the heart of the feeling, eye of the storm or rainforest in Tansmania with the swiftie parrots.
Creates a feeling that lingers and stays with the viewr. People who think of and ponder life. Many people have told me “I can’t stop thinking about your work”. I get it! It is thought provoking and deep.
My work is very chic with a generational appeal.
