We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Gladmon recently and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
I overcame imposter syndrome by truly believing in myself and recognizing my own worth. With over a decade of experience in bartending, it has become second nature to me, reaffirming my skills and expertise.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My brand is a reflection of my passion for mixology and exceptional service. The BartendHER embodies a mix of charm, fun, and a unique experience for every client. The positive feedback and repeat bookings fuel my love for what I do. I am thrilled to have expanded my team to include all genders of bartenders, each with their own exclusive name under The BartendHER brand.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were passion for mixology, dedication to exceptional service, and a commitment to continuous improvement. My advice for those starting out is to immerse yourself in learning, practice your craft diligently, seek feedback to grow, and never stop refining your skills. Stay passionate, stay dedicated, and always strive for excellence in everything you do.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am interested in collaborating with event planners, venues, and beverage brands to create unique and exciting experiences.
