Meet Samson The Strong

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samson The Strong. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Samson The , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
You know how over my years of being apart of the Orlando music scene I have learned one thing, there will always be those who love you, those who hate you, those who want to be you, and those who want to destroy you. Everyday we have to overcome something different than every other musician faces. We go against people hating and fighting God each and everyday. Events we do make us and our music look weaker everyday but in those darkest moments we find that even in the most dark and evil of places he lets us shine that much more brightly. There are only a small amount of us left in Orlando who fight for the Heavenly Father and his kingdom, and I don’t mean Christianity as a religion I mean about the Father the relationship that transcends religion. That’s what everyone misses, we go to places we don’t belong all the bars, clubs, lounges all of them in Orlando and we perform our hearts out every night we’re on a stage. Tho we do not look and sound like everyone else we are more individual than anyone else who is besides themselves. Were coming in hot every night everyday and we market to not just only the adults but kids 1-92. There’s something this world is missing in the positivity and happiness we used to have. There’s something this world needs something it craves, and maybe one day we can get that back. Or we can tear the world around us down, destroy everything, rebuild from nothing and make this world belong back to the people again and not the corporations who run it. If only this world was not a investment but a call to arms, a mission, a purpose maybe then we would have a chance of a humanity surviving. And that’s why we fight daily all the hate, the dms, the death threats, even hurtful and harmful things we have dealt with at shows in Orlando and around Florida. These are things we will always overcome as we try to break the world away from religion and bring back relationship and maybe one day we will die as martyrs as we fight the revolution against the head of the devil who will brand this world under a one religion but instead of we focus on one relationship we can endure peace amongst this world in our time rather than us and our kids be slaughtered for it later on. Most people think we’re crazy that we’re out of our minds, but in all honesty this is the sanity people crave those of us who sit in between the known and unknown of the world around us it makes it easier to see the battles that must be won in the long term but we hope the world will see it for the whole truth and not the one the Government hides from you and tell you this is true freedom and this is true life.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a once in a generational artist. I go out across Florida and I spread my message of love and hope all over the state and slowly all over the world. I just love the music and the people that’s why I do what I do. Tho I do not make any money from this besides my 3$ a month I make from my Spotify I will spend every last dime and dollar I make to constantly bring people in this world of ours new music that inspires us to be better not who we were but better than who we are who we we’re meant to be as a whole and not separately. In the music community Orlando is just fighting to be recognized as one of the city’s that have reputable talent but getting booked for shows have become harder as we in the music community in Orlando have been forced to either pay for shows between 30$-200$ or do free shows in run down locations with no body there. This city does not give artists any chance to grow and expand and actually take over the city unless we are famous but those who are famous leave the city behind and leave us for death and ruin. Something the artists now understand and we fight to make the city ours and have the city at our backs but this city doesn’t show love like it used to it has become cold and heartless with the New York winters. Only if we could go back to what the music scene was in Orlando 5-8 years ago man would we have been able to do more damage than we would have ever known.

Also my next project is Titled Interstellar and this will consist of some of the best music I have and probably will ever make in my lifetime I hope yall enjoy this half as much as we enjoyed playing it for yall.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1: build your team. You may never know where your going to meet someone who is going to change and level up your music and your abilities. Constantly be networking big or small, you meet so many creative people in events like producers, engineers, and artists. I met my engineer when I was with another group and now he works on my music exclusively as we grind so hard to eventually be nominated for a Grammy. I met my producer and my studio manager when he came into plush studios and sat in the back of my mixing and mastering secession and said can I just chill in here and listen and I was like sure no problem come on in close the door and feel the vibe. And in that moment we became instant friends and have made great music and will continue to do so and win Grammies and a dove award in due time: Jerz mayfield engineer/ ginxx music producer.

2: Risk it all
In music it’s All in or nothing, there is no halfsies. You have to risk your whole life to have a dream, to have a hope, to have a shot, to have a chance, a moment to where you can achieve everything you have ever wanted. I have been running down a dream for years in my city now trying to be the next big thing but it’s almost impossible the way the city don’t recognize you. No radio stations wanna play you, no club wants you to perform, no bar our lounge want you there but your music is to good and awesome to not be heard so you get a speaker and a mic and stand on a corner in downtown and hope to change the city with a boombox. Hoping that we can find love and humanity again in music.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The 2 that have spoke to me the most would be interstellar and Dune. Both show a person or a people being put into situations where they have to risk it all for the benefit of the many. A good man doesn’t seek to lead, He is called to it, and he answers. We see that so many today are lost and no one wants to lead. Well that’s different for me as I know I must start this revelation and revolution to change the hearts and minds of the masses in order to achieve real change amongst the world. And if that means sacrificing myself for the benefit of everyone else then so be it. This mission goes far beyond anything else in this world this extends past time and space but shifts what we think is reality into a void of known and unknown. We have to change the game and make it our own in order to play and control it. Like young Paul Atreides we will conquer this world known as Dune this Barron waste land and we will turn it into Eden a paradise.
