Meet Isabella Brown

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Isabella Brown . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Isabella below.

Hi Isabella , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Confidence is something that I still work on to this day. I have had to really learn that I am unique in my own way. Some people may not like it, but I am still important in what I do with my music. In today’s world, it is easy to compare yourself to others. I’ve had to take a step back, and be okay with my own growth, even if it doesn’t look like others around me. We are all on our own paths. So my confidence has grown just by walking in my own path and following my own intuition.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Isabella Brown, and I am a singer/songwriter here in Nashville, Tn. I am a traditional sounding country singer. People say that I sound like I am from another time, which is a big compliment. I love smooth vocals with complimentary fiddles of crying steel guitars. I have slowly leaned more towards a sound that is familiar to people but has elements of modern sound. I am releasing my first single soon, and I am looking forward to starting this journey of showing everyone who I am.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The 3 qualities that I think of that have made a big impact are: 1. Being friendly and exciting to be around. 2. Know what you really enjoy in music and not deviating from it, and 3. Moving quickly from the “failures.” I think that being in the present moment is so important when you’re early on in your journey. Music is a long journey, and it’s important to stay present and level headed. Emotions and other people can easily get in the way of growing. Being present has helped me with all of these qualities.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I have many people that have helped me in this journey of music. It’s a community where your relationships are almost as important, if not more, than the music. I think of people like Justin Love, who has believed in me from the start. Having someone like Justin, who gives you the belief that extends what you think you’re capable of, has opened the boundaries of what I can do.
