Hi Isabella , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Working on my passions at an early age, gave me the ability to understand worth ethic and passion projects. I’m sure you’ve heard the term if you do something you love for a living. It doesn’t feel like work.. At 17 years old, I can tell you this is a true statement because I have built my career around my passion in fashion and business.
After a while when you realize that hard work really does pay off and you combine that with doing something you love daily. It will set yourself up for happy ending, engaging work environment..
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Isabella Barret is the former breakout star of Toddlers and Tiaras who went on to be named one of the youngest self made millionaires in the US at age 6. Investing her money in 5 businesses to date she has built a mini empire landing her on the Business Insiders 50 brands to watch list, and aol finance and yahoo money. Isabella Barrett is about to turn 18 and take over her company House of Barretti. Recently Isabella went on the Sean Kelly Podcast and spilled the tea on how she REALLY made her millions.
Barrett stated at the height of her fame on Toddlers & Tiaras she was selling 20,000 bracelets a week at Pageant , Cheer, and Dance Conventions. If you were into Dance moms or attended a convention you probably own a Glitzy Girl Bracelet or bling tee made by Isabella’s brand. After selling the company in 2016 , Isabella was a millionaire and her family gave her an option to try Angel Investing . Angel Investing is when you put money behind an amazing product or business that has everything but capital to grow Bella states. I invested in 5 companies 3 became top selling brands on Amazon and 2 failed .
The young entrepreneur then decided to focus on her main goal building her fashion brand.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My best advice is to do something you love and if it’s not working, give you yourself an out clause meaning if it doesn’t work by a certain time that you walk away and try something a little bit different. One of my best pieces of advice don’t be afraid to fail because so much growth has come from each time I have.
Another important lesson is to listen to your gut so many times I’ve listened to other people when I should’ve just listen to that voice. Usually, you know the right move for yourself even if you feel confused or conflicted initially.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I believe collaborating is one of the most important parts on growing your brand and business. I’m always looking for young successful teens who are like-minded to work with. If you have a business idea or wanna collaborate on social media I would love to hear from you. I always have opportunities for modeling, fashion, designing, and social media collaborations.
