Meet Meshauwn Gee

We were lucky to catch up with Meshauwn Gee recently and have shared our conversation below.

Meshauwn , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
It took a while maybe even a couple years I had to learn self love and understand that there’s not another ME in this world. It’s all about how you look when you walk into a room you should look like someone to respect automatically and also look like that person someone else strive to be like because of how confident you look . To be in this game you can’t lack confidence or self-esteem you gotta be THAT GIRL and feel like THAT GIRL.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a female rap artist from FortWorth,Tx I’ve been doing this for a couple years now . I love what I do everyday I wake up and it feels like I’m living my dreams from when I was a little girl. I grew up watching my father do shows, record in the studio , do videos and more and I just loved every part of it . Music became my escape and my peace so I just felt like why not make money from something I’m good at especially while female artist are starting to get more recognition.

Currently I have a couple summer jams dropping soo stay tuned for that . I recently just dropped one called “Drop Off” featuring Byri & fuurgg it’s out on all platforms

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most impactful things in my journey was having atleast a little knowledge of what I would be getting myself into when it came to contracts , or just partnering with people period not everyone has the best interest in you . Getting in the booth more to perfect my skill till this day is always impactful you should always want to perfect your craft. Lastly it’s all about quality especially when it comes to my music I make sure I take my time and I’m clear on any track to make people understand me, want to listen to me, or even ask for features and want to work with me period.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I honestly take a ME day or week I get away from everyone from the world period. It’s important to take time for yourself and regroup .
