Meet Amy Cobb

We were lucky to catch up with Amy Cobb recently and have shared our conversation below.

Amy, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I will say from my mom. I am the middle of two siblings and my mother was a very hard worker. She was a single mother but I never remember missing out on anything. She taught me that if you want something in life you have to work for it because it’s not going to be handed to you.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I try to always conduct myself in a professional manner weather interacting with customers or people in the community.

It really brings joy to my heart when I connect with people who are looking for different ways to bring flavor to their dishes without adding so much salt. We’re living in today’s world where people are looking for healthier ways to eat and live.
With Ruth’s Seasonings we are able to provide bold flavors without any preservatives or additives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say one must have Integrity, boldness and patience. Customer service is a given but integrity will allow you to make sure that your brand carries all of the qualities which are needed to grow and be successful. Boldness comes in when you have to promote your brand even when no one stands behind you. Lastly, patience is the most important of the three because there a so many challenges but you have to tell yourself that no matter what happens, you won’t give up.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Hands down I will say that the Bible has helped me in every moment of all of my life and journey. My scripture that keeps me going is Proverbs 1:37 ” For with God nothing shall be impossible “.
