Domonique, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Burnout is real. I always encourage entrepreneurs to stay true to yourself. You have to be authentic in every situation. Never change who you are for anyone.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Leslie’s Laundry Care is a mobile laundry and dry cleaning service in Charlotte, NC. Back in 2017, my mom wash machine stopped working and I picked up and dropped off laundry for her. Immediately, Leslie’s Laundry Care was born. I named the business after my 8 year old daughter Leslie with the intention to crate generational wealth. We will open first brick and motor by summer 2024. We also have a nonprofit Leslie’s Laundry Care foundation. We serve the homeless monthly by providing food, socks, hygiene products and clothes for homeless neighbors.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most important qualities are resilience. You may hear 100 No’s but you need 1 yes. Critical thinking is important in any industry because you have to be a problem solver. And be real and authentic in every environment.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did was teach me about God and take me to church every Sunday so I can develop my own relationship with God.
