We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Luis Robles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Luis below.

Luis, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I think everywhere i go i can find new ideas Just people watching i can see new colors
Patterns etc

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’ve been an airbrush artist for the last 13 years, i kinda started a little different as most airbrush artists i guess I didn’t start making t shirts , although that would have helped me in the beginning
I kinda jumped into portraits from day 1
I didn’t really started showing my work till about 9 years ago, i started showing my work and doing live demonstrations in local galleries and eventually started networking and meeting new people and got a residency in a few galleries in LA ,
My work lately has been more focused on automotive projects, now days my work takes a little longer to complete since i just became a new father and i am loving every second of it
One thing people dont know much about me is that i am technically i am blind in one eye, but that hasn’t stopped me so far

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Persistency , patience and curiosity Never be afraid to ask questions and always keep your old work so you can track your progress
Unfortunately airbrushing does not have alot of classes available so practice , practice

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
