Meet Brianne Provenzale

We were lucky to catch up with Brianne Provenzale recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianne, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
For me, self-care isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity. Being a mom to two wonderful kids, juggling multiple roles as an author, model, and business owner, can be pretty hectic. But I’ve learned that taking care of myself isn’t selfish—it’s essential. I make sure to carve out time for things like exercise, enjoying good food, and indulging in little pampering sessions, whether it’s a DIY facial or a spa day treat. It’s amazing how much better I can tackle the day when I’ve taken care of myself first. Whether it’s diving into a good book, meditating, or simply catching up on sleep, these moments of self-care recharge my batteries and keep me at the top of my game.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My journey is a blend of passion, purpose, and a sprinkle of entrepreneurial spirit. I’m the founder of Meraki Beauty, a brand close to my heart that specializes in all-natural, handmade skincare products. What makes Meraki special? Well, it’s not just about crafting luxurious body butters, scrubs, and bath bombs; it’s about infusing each product with care and integrity. That’s why I named it ‘Meraki’—a Greek term that encapsulates pouring your soul into what you create.

But my story doesn’t stop there. Alongside Meraki, I’m also the driving force behind the Provenzale Foundation. It’s my way of giving back and making a tangible difference. We’re still in the early stages, but our mission is clear: to support skin cancer patients directly. That’s why a portion of Meraki’s profits goes straight to the foundation. Beyond financial support, I’m passionate about raising awareness for skin cancer prevention and detection. It’s not just about skincare; it’s about caring for ourselves holistically.

In addition to skincare and philanthropy, I’m also an author. My self-development workbook, ’21 Days to Self-Love,’ is a labor of love aimed at helping others embrace self-acceptance and empowerment. It’s a tool for anyone seeking to foster a deeper sense of love and compassion for themselves.

This year has been particularly exciting for Meraki. I’m proud to be a member of Legacy West Plano’s small business cohort, rubbing elbows with luxury retailers like Gucci and Tiffany & Co. Our monthly pop-ups at Legacy West are a highlight, offering customers a taste of our handcrafted goodness alongside high-end fashion.

In a nutshell, my journey is about blending passion, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference. Whether it’s through skincare, philanthropy, or empowering others through writing, I’m all about infusing everything I do with a little dash of Meraki.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say three qualities that have been instrumental in my journey are resilience, empathy, and continuous learning.

Resilience has been crucial, especially in the face of challenges and setbacks. Dealing with personal experiences of melanoma in my family and then facing it myself could have easily derailed me, but I chose to bounce back stronger each time. It’s about facing adversity head-on and refusing to let it define you.

Empathy has played a significant role, particularly in my work in Dermatology. Seeing firsthand the impact of skin cancer on patients and understanding their struggles made me more empathetic not only as a healthcare professional but also as a business owner. It’s about putting yourself in others’ shoes and using that understanding to drive positive change.

Continuous learning has been key, too. My journey has been a constant evolution of knowledge and growth. Whether it’s learning about skincare ingredients, understanding the nuances of running a business, or delving into skin cancer prevention, I’ve never stopped seeking knowledge. It’s about staying curious and open to new ideas and experiences.

For those early in their journey, my advice would be to cultivate these qualities. Embrace resilience in the face of challenges, nurture empathy to connect with others on a deeper level, and never stop learning and growing. Surround yourself with mentors and peers who inspire you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. And above all, trust in yourself and your journey—even in the darkest moments, there’s always light on the other side.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
