Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chad and James Hampton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chad and James, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
James Hampton was sitting in his tree stand bow hunting in Michigan one evening in 2004 and he was unhappy and unfulfilled in his life. He had a job he didn’t like, and his wife was just recovering from cancer. After telling God he was at the end of his rope, James asked God this question: “What is your purpose and what is your plan for my life?” James felt God impress on his heart this answer: “I want you to hunt for me like you do these animals, and I want you to teach other people to do the same.” After he returned home he called his twin brother Chad Hampton and told him that he felt like God was leading them to start a hunting ministry called “Huntin The Truth Ministries” from the Bible verse John 14:6 to use hunting as a vehicle to share the love of Jesus Christ and to teach people how to hunt for God and His plan for their lives. At that moment, Huntin The Truth Ministries was birthed, which later progressed into Chad and James writing the book Secrets of the Hunt to teach these principles to others on how to hunt God, and later the creation of Twin Factor TV using the platform of television to share their purpose with the world!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We are co-hosts and producers of Twin Factor TV, Co-Authors of Secrets of the Hunt book and video series, and Co-Founders of Huntin The Truth Ministries.
In February of 2024, Twin Factor TV was selected to be showcased at the NRB International Media Convention and while there won the award for Top TV Show Series. This led to Twin Factor TV having the opportunity beginning in June to air on Dish and Direct TV on TCT Network, the fastest growing Christian Television Network, and theDove Network.
We speak at various outdoor related events such as wild game dinners, sportsman’s banquets, men’s ministry events, youth ministry events, public and private school events, and Sunday morning church services. We also host seminars on our book Secrets of the Hunt at various ministry events.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Ironically, writing, speaking, and producing are things that James and I would have never dreamed we would be doing. We initially did not like to write or speak in front of people, and we are self taught producers that really didn’t have an interest in producing early on. Our advice to someone early in their journey is to seek God for what He has for your life. Find what He has gifted you to do, but also be willing to be open to try new things out of your comfort zone when God directs you to. They might just be what God has created you to do!
