Meet Carolina Ramón and Fernanda Gehrke

We were lucky to catch up with Carolina Ramón and Fernanda Gehrke recently and have shared our conversation below.

Carolina Ramón and Fernanda Gehrke , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
We started practicing the Wim Hof Method a few years ago out of curiosity and we never thought that it was going to be a tool that would help us strengthen our self confidence so much, to the point that today we dared to share this tool in front of many people. When experiencing overpassing the limits in our bodies, with the breath and the cold, we gain the strength and the confidence to do other things in our lives, it opens our mind to wonder what else we are able to do. As we say “like in the icebath, like in life”.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We are two friends who have a business named Boreal, where we offer Wim Hof Method Workshops, Woman Circles, Breathing and Mountain Experiences based on cold exposure.

We are passionate to share tools and experiences that have had an impact in our lives and we think they are easy to practice and implement and can have a very positive effect.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Commitment (studying, going deeper in our own practice, being constante), passion and action.

We would tell them to find a balance in commitment and being true to yourself, don´t force yourself.
Little practice everyday makes the difference

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
BREATH… go back to our basic practice. It connects us with our bodies, with the present and with ourselves.
