Meet Alan Ramos

We recently connected with Alan Ramos and have shared our conversation below.

Alan , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
“My work ethic is deeply rooted within me; it’s intrinsic to my nature. As an Aries, perseverance is a defining trait, guiding me through various challenges. However, my work ethic is not solely a product of my astrological sign; it’s shaped by influential individuals in my life who have offered guidance and support along my journey. inspirational quotes, particularly those emphasizing work ethic and importance of goals, resonate deeply with me. Setting and achieving goals is a priority that provides me with a sense of control and helps me navigate through adversity. i firmly believe in the notion that once a goal is achieved, it no longer serves as motivation. No matter the endeavor, I always set clear goals for myself, and once achieved, I raise the bar even higher. Striving for excellence is ingrained in my approach to everything I do. Whether it’s tackling a new project or honing a skill, I’m committed to pushing myself beyond what I thought possible. Each accomplishment serves as a stepping stone toward even greater achievements, fueling my drive for continuous growth and excellence. I also adopt a leadership mindset, constantly evaluating situations from the perspective of a leader. I recognize the importance of mentorship and actively seek out individuals with strong work ethic and unwavering motivation. Leaders identify potential s in others by observing their dedication and drive. As I strive for excellence in my own pursuits, I also seek to uplift and mentor those who exhibit similar traits, fostering a culture of growth and development within my sphere of influence.”

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have a total of 20 years experience in the paintball industry. My most recent endeavor was with World Acceptance a consumer finance company, where I was in charge of 5 offices in kentucky. During my 15 years with World I was fortunate to save money, which lead me to have the means to open a paintball park here in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. There are many positive outcomes from playing paintball; helps promotes weight loss, helps manage anger and relieves stress. Paintball is also great for corporate events, helps biuld communication skills effectively in the work force, team building experiences, or if your there just to have fun! We are looking to expand in other parts of Kentucky by the end of 2024. I’ve always been a motivator and advocate for others in need. I hope by bringing paintball to local communities it will drive the next generation forward and I hope to be part of that experience. I’m also a fellow rotarian with the rotary of lawrenburg. I’m a part of the best club in the world in lawrenceburg with the best group of individuals. We all have the same goals, and thats to serve our community and advocate goodwill to others through charities, donations and events. I’ve never met a group of people like us that give our time, energy and money to those in need, such a selfless act of kindness.

” focus on your goals people so you have no problems. When you focus on the problem your goals go away”

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Value- self worth: I use to put sticky notes on my dash board of my car with little inspiration notes to remind me of where im going and the value I have.

Positive mental attitude: when you think positive it becomes real. It not only motivates you but it motivates other people, and that in return equals money.

Goals: You should always write down your goals. I write on paper five short term goals and five long term goals, whether it’s personal or business it doesn’t matter just mix it up between the two, skies the limit so put down what you want to achieve. Put your goals in a place so you see it so it will remind you everyday!

Never miss a opportunity: learn something new, meet new people and never miss a door. The door you miss could be the door to your next adventure/opportunity.

Lastly, what I know now if i only knew that back then I would of never moved out of my parents house LOL!

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Wow! I have read several books that impacted my way of thinking. I can recall a few that come to mind, first is “believe and achieve” by Walter Clement Stone. Without giving away too much he invented the philosophy of PMA” positive mental attitude and the seventeen success principles”.
