Meet Brandy Waller

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandy Waller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandy below.

Brandy, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
So it all started back in Houston, Texas. Yes, I’m a country girl, born and raised! Ever since I could remember, I have been a creative person. I cut, painted, and designed clothing pieces as a side hustle all through middle and high school. I taught myself how to braid and cut hair with shears starting on myself which led to me doing it for my peers. As far as the modeling and acting, I didn’t realize participating in the events and shows during high school was giving me that experience and I have always had that “hustle” mentality! I still have a VHS tape of a homemade Mtv Cribs my sister and I self-produced and directed on our camcorder! One thing my momma did teach me is that “if you want it, you gotta work for it. No shortcuts or thinkin’ it’s gone fall in your lap.”

It wasn’t until I saw the movie B.A.P.S., a 1997 film starring Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle, that I was able to hone in on what I wanted to create exactly. Within the movie, Natalie and Halle were waitresses at a Georgia restaurant who then decide to fly to Los Angeles for a music-video audition in order to raise money for their dream project — a business that combines soul-food dining with a hair salon. I’ve always had the passion since that moment to open up my very own spa, salon, and boutique.

Fast forward 2007 to 2014, I worked as an exotic dancer at night. Because I was able to work nights, my days were open and free to create! This is where the push of everything began. During this time, I elevated my hustle but my sense of self and networking. Working in the clubs, I met so many artists! I met aspiring rappers, singers, painters, hairstylists, and all! These same people were the ones who connected with me to model and act in my first music videos! The clubs’ income definitely assisted with funding my goals as well!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
So allow me to reintroduce myself! My name is Brandy Waller also known as Brandy Thee Prettii Face Bae, a mompreneur born and raised in Houston, Texas and now reside in the beautiful Alhambra, CA. I have two children, Alayah and kitty, Crystal Blue, who are the two reasons why I grind and hustle as hard as I do… I’m a single mom conquering the world! Lol

I’m finishing up my associate’s degree in business to transfer with a concentration in Marketing and then on to getting started with my cosmetology certification!

I model, act, and also own several businesses:
An online boutique
Revamp and wig customization services
Experience with creative direct as head of wardrobe, hair, and makeup on productions and sets.
Assistant script writer/editor
And…whew, chile…I could go on and on about other collaborations in between. I love to lead and make things happen for my babies and I to enjoy life!

I am determined to change the lives of those who are connected to me by showing them that it is okay to follow your dreams and to live in your truth. Just be YOU unapologetically!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Embarking on a creative journey demands both passion and discipline. First, cultivate a big appetite for curiosity—explore, learn, and practice consistently. Treat creativity like a muscle that grows stronger with regular exercise. Set clear goals, breaking them down into achievable steps, and celebrate each milestone as they come. But remember, resilience matters. Embrace failure as part of the process because it’s all a lesson along the way and stay true to your unique voice. “Your journey is a canvas waiting for your brushstrokes; paint it authentically.”

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Looking back from where I started to where I stand today, some might call it luck. Surviving tough times and persevering—it seems like chance. But deep within, I know it was more than luck. It was planning, preparation, and a soul contract guided by something greater. Pain and self-discovery shaped me, teaching me resilience and how to navigate this world.
