We were lucky to catch up with Jazman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jazman , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose through a journey that my husband and I never expected to be on. We have been on a quest to overcome infertility for almost 12 years. Since childhood, I knew that I wanted to be a mama and when I married my husband we began trying to conceive right away. Never did either of us fathom that our desire to start a family would include trekking the wildness of overcoming severe male-factor infertility. We were absolutely devastated! I remember how we felt gutted, bewildered, caught off guard, forgotten, and lonely throughout our journey. I deeply desired to have a community where it was safe for me to be vulnerable with people who just got it.
Our journey has not been easy, but one thing that I know for sure is that the Lord works everything out for our good—even this. As God has emboldened me to share our story, I was reminded of how we felt lonely and forgotten throughout our journey and I do not want any other couple to feel the way. That is when God inspired me to become a certified fertility health coach so that I can be that safe space for couples journeying to overcome infertility by helping them discover their unique path to fertility. God is using our experiences, knowledge, and wisdom gained, to help guide other couples along their journey to their victory baby!
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Our pain has fueled my passion and is the very reason why I do the work that I do. When a couple asks “Why is this happening to us?” I remember crying to myself while asking God this same question along our journey, and struggling to find the answers. Overcoming infertility is HARD and I am here to bear witness to their story, meet them with compassion, and help them find their unique path to fertility.
I co-labor with my clients to uncover the root causes of health imbalances and optimize their bodies for conception, whether that be through natural conception, the use of assisted reproductive technology (ART), or embryo adoption/donation. I believe that couples can be victorious over infertility, especially as followers of Christ. It may mean that a couple has to build their family in a unique way, and it can still be beautiful! However unique a couple’s journey may look to their victory baby, I am here to journey with them.
A new aspect of my business that I am beyond thrilled about is offering small-group fertility coaching for women who are overcoming infertility through embryo adoption and donation. Navigating the path of embryo adoption and donation can feel overwhelming and isolating. I see them, and their embryo adoption journey matters to me. The stories that I’ve seen are why I crafted the Epikaizo Tribe. It is an intimate and specialized fertility health coaching group for women who are experiencing challenges on their embryo adoption journey and desire to have a close-knit tribe to cheer them on. In the Epikaizo Tribe, they receive fertility group coaching with me to help them confidently address challenges such as repeated failed frozen embryo transfers while also having a safe space to process the challenging parts and celebrate the victories. There is a need for a safe space beyond social media groups where posts can be lost or people feel too anxious to share. I am honored to offer this support for women on this unique path to their victory baby!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are perseverance, resilience, and my faith in the Lord. Without all of these, I would not have been able to continue our overcoming infertility journey, let alone become a fertility health coach. These qualities, and the couples that I serve, are what keep me motivated and passionate about my work.
I encourage you to continue to move forward, no matter how difficult it is and no matter how much you may want to give up. Get back up, even if you can barely stand. You are signaling to yourself that you can take one more step, and you will! If you are a follower of Christ, I implore you to read the Bible and find what His Word has to say about who you are because you are more than your journey. Stand on it and affirm yourself daily with the Lord’s truths.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The most impactful person who has helped me to overcome challenges in my personal life, fertility journey, and as a business owner is the Lord. It was during some of the most difficult moments of my life that I experienced God in a very tangible way. He has given me the courage to get back up again and the joy to do it even when it has felt like my life was sometimes falling apart. He has given me His strength to keep going after things did not turn out how I had wanted and the faith to believe that He would do the impossible for me, which He has. Honestly, the Lord is Who I draw my strength from every day and the reason that I can do all that I do.
