We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Miracle Hines a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Miracle, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
It’s definitely something I had since I was a child, I was taught that if you don’t believe in yourself who will?! I do say my affirmations too and remain consistent and confident with those words daily.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a Fashion designer, (tribe Faith brand) my specialty is sustainability and using every ounce of fabric so it’s zero waste completely in all of my clothing. Currently, I’m actively working on my capsule collection and updating my website for my business, it’s a very exciting process for me right now, I’m ready for the public to experience it. Exploring and expanding a lot! That’s for sure, it’s just a matter of time in a little moment it’ll be released soon!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most important quality for me was to always keep the right mindset for everything! As an independent business in Fashion, things can go left quickly and if you don’t obtain a mindset of (alright let’s make something good happen) out of this… you might fall apart. You can’t allow challenges to overload you in anyway. There’s always another way to get over.
An important skill to have is always be prepared to pivot at any moment, that skill has saved me a lot !
In the fashion design industry, things can fall through and fabric maybe not be correct, or even worse you might have nothing at all! But learning a skill of doing the next possible thing and being fearless/quick while doing it is a master key! That’s something I feel like everyone on the earth has learned at a certain point.
If you’re running any kind of business, train yourself for the unthinkable or unimaginable… learn to use other methods outside of what’s already existing to you.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
