Trixie, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve learned that building confidence and self-esteem requires stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing discomfort. It’s only through consistent effort and imperfect action that I can achieve this.

I’ve developed my confidence by facing my fears. Confidence doesn’t come before the challenge but after–it’s the courage to face your fears head-on. My goal is to improve just 1% every day, making small but consistent progress.

As well as studying, reading, and consuming valuable and educational content, I continue to develop my knowledge and skills in this field. However, I cannot stress it enough that taking imperfect action is key, even if you do not feel fully ready. It’s important to keep laying bricks and planting seeds, for in due time, they will reap.

Although this has all helped me on my journey, one source gives me more confidence than these things: my faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:37 asserts this, “. . . In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

My business values all align with biblical principles, and when I feel defeated, I am reminded that the source of my strength comes from Him who is and will always be.

It is my continued commitment to work hard, put myself in uncomfortable situations, and become the best version of myself to serve others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Trixie, a freelance copywriter and marketing strategist. I help health and wellness brands write powerful emails, blogs, and other forms of content to engage their target audience, convert more customers, and drive more sales. I’ve honed my ability to craft convincing ideas to create effective marketing collateral.

At the moment, I am focused on building my digital online business as a freelance copywriter and marketing strategist. I am utterly thrilled to dive into business because I’ve noticed exponential personal growth within the last year. I am becoming a person who understands that there are no limits in life, only the ones we set in our minds.

What sets my brand apart is the emphasis on creating marketing that connects with audiences on a deeper human level beyond just selling products or services. In a world where selling is sometimes seen as “icky,” I believe emphasizing a brand’s values is more important. People yearn to connect, to belong, and to feel heard. That’s what I bring to the table, the element of human connection.

Integrity, trust, and excellent service are the three values that define me personally. I want my clients to feel as though I care about their business as much as they do. In fact, I recently launched a new package specifically designed to help small businesses revamp their messaging and positioning to better resonate with their ideal customers–writing engaging email marketing campaigns.

If you need support with emails, social media, landing pages, blogs, or feedback on current marketing strategies, I’d love to connect on a no-pressure 30-minute discovery call.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my entrepreneurial journey, three key qualities that have made the biggest impact are a service-oriented mindset, strong communication abilities, and adaptability.

First, having a heart for service is crucial. In order to succeed as a business owner, you should provide excellent service and go above and beyond for your clients. When you serve with genuine gratitude and an excellent spirit, clients naturally return. Prioritizing their needs and delivering an outstanding experience has to be at the core.

Communication is another vital skill I’ve actively developed. As someone more introverted, I initially struggled to confidently approach people and articulate my offerings. However, I recognized the necessity of effectively communicating these offerings. This realization motivated me to start networking online, booking calls, and becoming comfortable with having deeper conversations. More recently, I’ve transitioned to in-person networking events, which has been a game-changer. There’s something powerful about walking into a room of unfamiliar faces and leaving with new connections. Experiences like these significantly improved how I communicate with clients.

Finally, adaptability has been invaluable. The market constantly evolves, demanding personal growth and changes. When you can quickly adapt to challenges rather than avoid them, the process becomes much smoother. Adaptability forces you to find solutions, and that’s where real growth happens.

For those just starting out, I strongly recommend developing a service mindset, practicing communication skills online and in person, and embracing adaptability. These qualities will better equip you to navigate the ups and downs, seize opportunities, and ultimately thrive as an entrepreneur.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn outlines the idea that life is a game governed by spiritual laws. By understanding and applying these laws, one can attract one’s desires. It teaches the power of positive thinking, affirmations, and visualization to attract abundance, success, and happiness into one’s life.

A few of the most valuable or impactful nuggets of wisdom were these quotes:

“Love and goodwill are invaluable in business.” If you love your clients and want what is best for them, they will continue to seek you out because they are confident that you have their best interests at heart.

“There is nothing too great of accomplishment for the man who knows the power of his word and who follows his intuitive leads.” As scripture says, life and death are in the power of the tongue. Your words have the power to uplift, encourage, and motivate, but they can also destroy, tear down, and corrupt. If you can speak life into a business and into its customers, they will lead with power, and keeping your word is more valuable than anything else you can do.

“Nothing stands between man and his highest ideals and every desire of his heart, but doubt and fear.” You set up your own limitations in life. A (wo)man is what they think about all day – the more you believe you are capable and can do all things, the fruit will eventually show, but if you doubt and fear, the best version of yourself cannot show up. If you have a worthy desire within you, believe it, work hard, and press forward.
