We recently connected with Chrisanthia Allen and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrisanthia , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
“My resilience is deeply rooted in the remarkable examples set by my parents. Growing up, my mother was a hardworking and loving police officer, juggling the demands of her job with the responsibilities of motherhood. Despite tragically losing her when I was just eight years old, her memory and the strength she embodied continue to inspire me every day. Similarly, my father’s journey as an entrepreneur, despite not having a high school diploma, showcased the power of determination and hard work. Witnessing him build successful businesses and make significant investments in real estate taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance and seizing opportunities.
I vividly remember moments like going to my dad’s office to borrow tools to fix things around the house. One particular instance stands out when I decided to mount my TV on the wall. Armed with a drill and a hammer, I set out to do it alone. My father, knowing my capabilities, encouraged me to tackle the task independently. His confidence in me was unwavering, and it reflected the resilience he instilled in me.
Today, as a mother myself to two wonderful boys, I strive to pass on the same values of resilience and determination that were ingrained in me by my parents. My children are not only my motivation but also my driving force. Every day, I aim to be the best version of myself, knowing that I am not only carrying forward the legacy of my parents but also shaping the future for my family.
In essence, my resilience stems from the unwavering support and example set by my parents. Their strength continues to guide me through life’s challenges, and I am forever grateful for the foundation they provided.”

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a graphic and website designer for 9X Creative Studio. a digital power house. I provide everything from brand development, web design/ development, social media marketing to photography. the most exciting thing of my job is that I get to use my gifts of artistic and creativity to help others in their business and that alone is joy to me. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
For me looking back 3 skills are learned and develop over the yers is customer service, trusting in your abilities and believing deeply in your craft and self, also focus on your clients and not always being the best in the industry but providing the best service to those you work with.
Advice to those early in their craft or journey, keep going, believe in you, surround yourself with good people, place and read books that impacts you as a person, stay always learning, you are never too old or too good to learn.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
hmm, books for me I read a lot of books and I listen to a lot of podcast and interviews on YouTube from successful persons. This is what helps me with development, I don’t always listen to music when working…I focus on good messages, and building self confidence and my belief within myself.
books I read, atomic habits, great book for changing your habits to become the person you wish to be.
48 laws of power
