Meet Brittany Ference

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Ference. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Brittany, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Having a manifestation practice, building a trust muscle with your intuition and trusting in God’s leadership builds a solid foundation for knowing that if this isn’t for you then something better is on the way. The Universe always has your back and is always wanting to give you what you are dreaming of, you just have do your inner work and confront your limiting beliefs, own the fact that you deserve your wildest dreams, take aligned action, and trust that it will show up. My manifestation practice specifically supports me having the confidence and knowing the cycles of manifestation, so that when you are in a rock bottom or a magic dark, you have the power to keep passing the tests to reach your wildest dreams.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Horses have been woven through my whole life. I always knew wild horses existed, but I hadn’t ever met a Mustang until I was 22 years old. I found myself in rural Wyoming doing day work for a Mustang training facility. I was blowing with the wind to any seasonal ranch work that caught my interest. The people of the town were not very welcoming, so the Mustangs became my closest friends. Working with the Mustangs was a very self reflective experience. They mirrored my energy that I brought into the round pen and it taught me how to self regulate my emotions. This experience was so powerful for me as a young woman and forever changed the trajectory of my life.

Great Escape Mustang Collaborative is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization empowering formerly wild horses to thrive on their domestic journey through training, adoptions, sanctuary, education & collaborations. As the executive director of this small, but mighty organization I blaze the trail for these Mustangs by creating collaborations and partnerships to support their journey. One of my favorite parts of my career currently, is learning equine bodywork and trauma release work on shut down and traumatized Mustangs that we have rescued through auctions and kill pens.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I am college trained in fine art and I believe that this background really gave me a foundation in being able to think outside the box, which has lead me through my whole life. I also grew up working at my family’s businesses. We owned a peach orchard and a restaurant. I would have my friends from school over to pick peaches with me and then on the weekend we would sell them at the gas station on the corner. After we worked in the mornings we would ride horses, four wheelers, play paintball, go fishing… we were always on some type of adventure. This way of growing up gave me a strong work ethic and engrained confidence. Having access to horses and taking horse back riding lessons in childhood really gave me a solid foundation to keep them in my life to this day.
