We recently connected with Raysean and have shared our conversation below.
Raysean, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
My confidence comes from a mixture of understanding my own uniqueness, and being borderline delusional. Everyone has their own personality, voice, aesthetic, etc. I know that as long as I continue to just be completely me, I’ll do great things.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’ve been on a hiatus for the last couple of months so I could secretly work on 3 different episodic series. Other than that I kind of do whatever I feel from music to clothing and videos on youtube. I also own and operate 3xNetwork, a content creation network. I just recently did a revamp of the roster though. I can’t wait be able to go more into detail about everything.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Number one is confidence. A confident person can make it through anything because it gives you the ability to push thru any negativity or setbacks. My ability to study about what I want to do to the point where learn the ins and outs made it easy to solely rely on myself. Last but not least, a team of people that you can rely on and support you through whatever. You miss every shot that you don’t take so don’t worry about failure and just do it !

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
I think it’s best to focus on the thing that you’re best at. You have to be able to put your all into whatever you do and that’s kind of hard to accomplish when you’re trying to juggle multiple things. Life itself is enough work. Once you get that one thing to a certain point, it’ll make it easier to branch out and be successful in other things. I started just making basketball videos on YouTube. The experience from editing and researching different qualities of microphones made the transition from that to music and streaming easier. I came into the new things with knowledge and an already established community.
