Meet Mari Casas

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mari Casas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mari, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

To keep my creativity alive, I focus on staying aligned with my core values and maintaining a deep connection with myself. Journaling plays a big part in this for me; it’s a thoughtful way to process my thoughts and spark new ideas. Meditation helps keep me grounded and centered, clearing my mind and opening up space for creative thoughts to flow.

I’m always on a journey of personal growth, embracing new experiences, reading, and attending workshops to keep my mind engaged and inspired. Staying connected to my true self ensures that my creative work is authentic and aligned with who I am.

Nature is another great source of inspiration for me. Spending time outdoors rejuvenates my spirit and often sparks new ideas and perspectives. I also find that reading and listening to podcasts provide fresh ideas and different viewpoints that enrich my creative process.

A significant part of my inspiration comes from the collaborative nature of my work. The conversations and deep dives I have with my clients are incredibly inspiring. These interactions allow me to tap into the good stuff that fuels creative ideation.

Visualization is a powerful tool I use regularly. Imagining my goals and dreams helps me stay focused and brings clarity to my creative vision. By incorporating these practices into my daily routine, I keep my creativity vibrant and aligned with who I am.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Hi there! I’m Mari, a South Florida girl living in Boston home. I specialize in working with entrepreneurial trailblazers in the creative, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, and home spaces to design and develop brand experiences that feel authentic and compelling. Over the last 15 years, I’ve built my career on two simple principles: keeping it real and helping others do the same. This philosophy is at the heart of everything I do.

What excites me most about my work is the collaborative nature of it. I thrive on the deep dives and conversations I have with my clients, where we uncover their core values, mission, and vision. This process is incredibly inspiring and allows me to create designs and strategies that are not only visually appealing but also deeply meaningful and aligned with who they are.

I believe in creating experiences that resonate with people and keep them coming back. It’s about more than just aesthetics; it’s about crafting a story and an experience that your audience can connect with on a personal level. Every project I take on is fueled by intention, ensuring that the results speak to the audience and make the brand owner proud.

I work with businesses of any shape and size, from tiny startups to long-time established businesses—based in South Florida, Boston, and beyond.

In addition to my design services and strategic builds, I’m excited to highlight a service that many people don’t realize I offer. If you’re feeling stuck with your strategy or need creative ideas or feedback to gain clarity, I provide personalized coaching sessions to help you create authentic, intentional experiences that captivate your dream customer.

Coaching Sessions Offered:
– General Consulting Session: Perfect for those needing strategic guidance, creative ideation, or branding feedback.
– Marketing Strategy Consultation: Ideal for exploring new marketing channels, setting clear goals, and refining your strategy.
– Website Workshop: Great for those who are ready to redesign their website and improve their online presence but don’t want to invest in outsourcing. This workshop will guide you through aligning your website with your brand values and making impactful improvements yourself.

You can book these sessions as needed or regularly for continuous support and guidance.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back on my journey, three key qualities have been truly impactful: authenticity, the ability to shift, and alignment. Staying true to who I am and my core values has been absolutely crucial. This authenticity builds trust with clients and ensures that my work resonates on a deeper level. For those just starting out, I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to understand and define your own values and what makes you unique. This authenticity will shine through in your work and attract clients who truly align with your vision.

The ability to shift has been equally important. It’s about adapting my business and approach to be more connected to who I am, without the fear of judgment. Embracing change in this way allows me to stay true to myself while evolving and growing. For anyone early in their journey, practicing this kind of flexibility can make a huge difference. Don’t be afraid to adjust your path to reflect your true self, even if it means stepping away from the norm.

Alignment, particularly in terms of saying no to work that doesn’t resonate, has been vital. It’s about approaching your brand, strategies, and messaging in ways that are meaningful and true to who you are, without compromising your peace. Rather than jumping on every trend, it’s about thoughtfully choosing the paths and opportunities that genuinely excite you and make sense for your brand. This often means identifying the bigger picture and letting that guide the smaller decisions. It’s showing up in spaces that truly matter to you, even if it takes longer for people to find you. When they do, they’ll be your people for life.

So, if you’re just beginning your journey, focus on being true to yourself, having the courage to shift, and aligning your work with what genuinely matters to you.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is an entrepreneurial trailblazer in the creative, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, or home spaces who is passionate about their work and ready to invest in a brand experience that truly reflects who they are. They value authenticity and are committed to staying true to their core values, even if it means taking the road less traveled.

This client understands the importance of meaningful and intentional branding. They aren’t interested in simply following trends but want to create a lasting impression that resonates deeply with their audience. They appreciate a collaborative process and are open to deep dives and conversations that uncover the heart of their brand.

They believe deeply in their product or service and care about the impact it has on their customers. They want to create a brand that not only attracts their dream clients but also aligns with their mission and values, providing a genuine and memorable experience.

Moreover, my ideal client is looking for a partnership built on trust and mutual respect. They are willing to invest time and effort into the branding process, knowing that the outcome will be a brand experience that not only empowers them but also enhances the lives of their customers.

If you’re someone who values authenticity, is eager to collaborate deeply, and wants to build a brand that is a true reflection of who you are, then we’re likely a great fit. Together, we can create something that not only stands out but also genuinely feels right for you and your audience.
