Meet Sherrie Beckstead

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sherrie Beckstead. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sherrie, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Purpose. We do not have just one purpose in our lifetime. I believe that with each challenge in life, we have the ability to find purpose, as well, with each gift that we receive in life, we are given the ability to find the purpose of that gift, and how we are to share it with the world. The continum of learning, loving, as well as our capabilities to interconnect with the world, allows us to find new levels of purpose in our lives. I find my purpose with each opportunity that the universe presents to me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Serving as an ambassador to the multitude of brands that are in the portofolio of my businesses and partnerships, remains part of my mission and vision. I have the priviledge and pleasure of working closely with many international brands in the ongoing development of brand culture | marketing, in the regions in which we represent our brands. I also have the pleasure of designing and creating my very own brand of 18 Karat Gold & Diamond Collection pieces. My own brand; The Lockkeepers Collections, was inspired by my love of historic locks and keys- we are a cause branded company that gives a percentage of each sale to a non-profit in Washington, DC. I feel very fortunate to also have the ability to work closely with several non profits in our nation’s capital- it is an honor to serve in this capacity, and be able to give my Time, Talent and Treasure- the 3 T;s.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
When I reflect on qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that have been impactful on my journey thus far, I am reminded in retrospect that all become great areas of knowledge, and therefore almost second nature.
1.) Lead with Kindness and Empathy- we can be firm in our principals without ever sacfificing these honorable leadership traits- that come from the heart.

2.) Set Boundaries- between your personal and professional life, maintain the highest standards for each.

3.)Be the consumate student- life is a classroom, never miss a day.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
I have a substantial growth & development list that accompanies me into each year- however this year, my 24 karat year- brings new challenges and tremendous new opportunities- and I am ready for each with the universe powering me forward.

My epic levels of growth are as a result of my ongoing studies in all matters concerning my businesses, my ventures and my expansive circles of colleagues and friends- each plays a pivotal roles in the advancement of my divisions- and how all of this looks in the next 12 months-it is very exciting. 5.0 and GO!
