Meet Nicholas Guerrero

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicholas Guerrero. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Nicholas, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Honestly it comes from inner peace which almost sounds counterintuitive in some type of way, especially as an artist!
I think it’s taken a while for me to find balance in that but thats all life is really is balance. Being an artist is problem solving and working to with letting go of attachment and knowing that in every “bad” situation comes a new form of craft and really there is no such thing as a bad experience (in some cases maybe). In reality it’s your own outlook and reflection of what keeps optimism. You figure how to deal and work with yourself and how you look at any given situation. Life is full of trials, art is all expression and you and the harmonious tool thats playing all the notes to coincide with all of it. I know that all sounds like a puzzle of words and probably harder than it sounds but it is a practice. Life’s practices bring us knowledge to better ourselves if we choose and I think thats how I stay optimistic…… to say the least lol

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a artist from Los Angeles that uses any tools at my disposal to basically release what I have harboring inside of me. Whether it be djing, audio recording / engineering, making visualizers and video edit and doing drawings for my clothing line I just love working on these forms of self expression and how it makes me coexist with society along with finding more about myself in its truest nature. I don’t know what category I really fall under but I just like to say I’m an artist in whatever form that takes and I’m looking to take that to its furthest capability. Currently working new designs for the clothing brand which will be on the store website soon. Also releasing a virtual dj set with the visuals I made releasing in early Summer. An EP I am currently working on and will setting to release in October. Currently taking a break from playing live in person shows more this year to really dive in and do the desk work for all these current project BUT I do have one live performance on July 4th at 9pm at Anime Expo here at the LA Convention Center. So if you’re attending the event or in the area please do come and dance πŸ˜‰

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Look 2. Listen 3.Learn.
1.πΏπ‘œπ‘œπ“€. Observe the world are you, your surroundings, who you hang out with, where you presently are. The cracks in your hands to the stars up above. Be in the present moment and be really aware of that. Don’t let your mind wander, and you’ll see how much wonders that can do. You are what you make of life and everything is a reflection of you.
2.πΏπ’Ύπ“ˆπ“‰π‘’π“ƒ. The music of the world, from cars, trains, live crowd, animals, music, to the annoying chips you hear randomly in the streets. All of life is a vibration of current fluid movement and you are the receptor. Be observant in these ways as well, all of these things you pick and choose what best resonates with you and find a little more about yourself each time.
3. Most importantly. 𝐿𝑒𝒢𝓇𝓃. Now with all of the above being stated the part to take away from it is to find yourself taking away from every key note that you intake. One cannot exist without the other.Every experience, every conversation you hear or take part of, every failure, every lie, every truth, every win, every aspect you currently allow yourself to be. Learn from it. Never stop questioning this especially when its some of your own actions to take into evaluation of oneself. All of this is a learning experience and thats what it truly means to live… and learn. Take joy in it all. You will fall but thats the fun part about rising.
Like every cell, every flower and star.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

Oh perfect question because I just got out of this feeling lol.
Breathe, step back, analyze and evaluate the situation. Go with the path of least resistance, now I’m not saying don’t challenge yourself or anything like that but in times of truly being overwhelmed make a grounded decision then move forward.
Calm, Cool and Collected, Utilize those key words and proceed with and stronger confidence in yourself. Not matter the outcome, believe in yourself and the positivity that comes with it. There can be no positive without a negative, also don’t be so hard on yourself. Love yourself and remember to breathe
