Asmiria , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity and artist skills alive because of my work as a plastic surgeon every day. During a cosmetic consultation I take the time to listen very carefully to my patients and all their aesthetic goals that they want to achieve with surgery, I make sure I understand in detailed what their wishes are, to be able to delivery them using my surgical skills, knowledge, artist vision and creativity to develop a specific and unique surgical plan, applying the most adequate techniques to every patient.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

People say “ pick something that you are passion about it and you will never work a day in your life” That statement describe what I do every day. Plastic Surgery has been and will be always my passion, I consider plastic surgery as an art where we do have the opportunity to be in people lives in a whole different way as a surgeon. I love the disciple and hard work that the plastic surgery involved. Being a Plastic surgery allowed me to help people overcome their insecurities and become more confident and improve self esteem. The personal and professional satisfaction to work with the patients every steps of this process. Recently I have been focused no just in the surgical approach for facial optimizations as well as all non surgical option that these patients have such us Neurotoxin (Dysport/Botox) , Fillers, Chemical peel, Glass skin, CO2 laser and the latest technology Exosomas to improve the aesthetic aspect facial profile.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The journey to become a Plastic Surgery is a long one , I believe my determination, consistency, hard work combine with my compassion and humility have helped me through this journey. My most sincere advice to the residents in training is “ If you really want to be a successful plastic surgeon stay the course, it is not going to be easy, be passionate about it and care for every patients as they were your own family”

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

As I mentioned before the journey to becoming a Plastic surgeon has been a long one. My family is the most important foundation to my professional growth, My husband and my three children are the motor that I need everyday to be the best I can be and set an example for them. I thank my husband for the support emotionally and professionally. In every challenge I have been through the goal I have strived to achieve has been to offer the best service with the latest knowledge to my patients.
