Meet Sam Hajighasem

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sam Hajighasem. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sam below.

Sam, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my confidence and self-esteem through trying and failing. Many people think confidence comes from affirmations or your background, but it’s really about building experience. When I started, I faced many challenges and setbacks. Each failure taught me lessons, and each success, no matter how small, added to my confidence. By taking risks and learning from mistakes, I built a strong foundation. Confidence grows over time by doing, failing, learning, and improving.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m an entrepreneur with a passion for growing companies.

Currently, I’m the founder of Venture Podcasting, one of the top podcast production companies in the world. We specialize in helping personal brands, entrepreneurs, B2B, and B2C businesses. At Venture Podcasting, we create and grow podcasts that scale and sell for businesses and their marketing teams.

How it all began:

My journey started at 16 as a self-taught electronic music composer. I pursued a bachelor’s in Film and TV and a master’s in Sound Design, culminating in a degree from American University in Washington, D.C. Despite valuable experience in audio engineering and sound design, I felt unfulfilled and decided to start my own business.

At 23, with a few thousand dollars in savings, I began freelancing to build my business. After several failed attempts in drop shipping, I realized my true strength was storytelling through content. The rise of the content creator economy and the shift brought by COVID-19 led me to podcasting, recognizing its potential for building authentic connections and repurposing content efficiently.

In 2020, I founded Venture Podcasting to help businesses create new relationships, establish their brands online, save time and money, and build valuable databases of information from their fans and listeners. We don’t just edit and publish content; we help businesses build sustainable lead generation and an online presence that continues to provide benefits indefinitely.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

First, don’t focus on shortcuts or overthinking. Many entrepreneurs, including myself, tend to overthink, which only leads to inaction. Acting and experiencing will get you to your goals faster.

Second, keep learning. As your company grows, it’s easy to get busy and forget the importance of continuous learning. Staying updated and constantly improving your skills is crucial to avoid falling behind.

Lastly, be resilient. Entrepreneurship is full of ups and downs. Staying resilient and pushing through challenges is key to long-term success.

My advice for those early in their journey is to act more, overthink less, continuously learn, and stay resilient. These qualities will help you navigate the entrepreneurial path more effectively.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who is passionate about their business and understands the value of online branding. They are typically entrepreneurs, B2B, or B2C businesses looking to build authentic connections and establish a strong online presence. They are committed to growth. They are focused on long-term growth and are ready to invest time and resources in building their brand.
