Meet Jennifer Roelands, MD

We recently connected with Jennifer Roelands, MD and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose found me. When I was in college I had no idea what I would become. But taking time after college to explore what I was passionate about while living in a foreign country helped me to discover my purpose which is to serve people. To make a difference in their lives. I knew that I was meant to take a harder path and therefore push the boundaries in my family and become educated.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Perserverance: I followed by path even when it seemed impossible. I knew and trusted I would get there and even when it was hard, I pushed on.
2. Belief in Yourself and your capabilities:
You have to believe you are in the right place to be successful.
3. Find a mentor to support and guide you. FInd someone who has blazed the path and who will support you is priceless.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am looking for partners who want to revolutionize medicine to be about “healthcare” not sick care. I would love to collaborate with people in the wellness space who are looking to provide whole body medicine.
