Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Frankie Endo Ondo . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Frankie , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Being the only one in the room as a gay, Black man has taught me resilience and authenticity. Growing up with strict diplomat parents, I learned to embrace my differences as strengths.
When I created ‘Draw the Line: The Game of Dealbreakers & Red Flags,’ my goal was to bring honesty and vulnerability into the dating scene. My unique perspective allows me to connect with others and foster inclusivity.
Ultimately, I aim to ensure no one feels like they’re the only one in the room by sharing my story and creating platforms for open conversation. This way, everyone can feel seen and heard.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Frankie Endo Ondo, the creator of ‘Draw the Line: The Game of Dealbreakers & Red Flags,’ host of the podcast ‘It’s Not Me, It’s Your,’ and the mind behind the Speakeasy Candle Collection. My work revolves around transforming the dating scene by fostering honesty and open conversations.
What’s most exciting to me is creating spaces where people can be their true selves and have fun while tackling tough topics. Whether it’s through a game that sparks meaningful discussions, a podcast that delves into the nuances of relationships, or candles that set the mood for vulnerability and connection, I love seeing how my projects help people connect on a deeper level.
Each endeavor is special because it encourages authenticity and breaks down barriers, making dating and relationships a bit less daunting and a lot more enjoyable. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that what I create can bring people closer together and help them navigate their personal journeys with more confidence and honesty.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience, Authenticity and Empathy
For those starting out, focus on building these qualities. Stay resilient in the face of challenges, be true to who you are, and always strive to understand and connect with others. These foundations will support you in any path you choose.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely, I’m always looking for new partnerships and collaborations. I’m particularly interested in working with individuals who share a passion for fostering open, honest conversations about dating, relationships, and self-expression. This includes creators, influencers, and professionals in the dating and wellness industries, as well as those with unique perspectives and innovative ideas.
If you’re a reality dating star, a podcaster, a relationship coach, or someone with a compelling story or expertise to share, I’d love to hear from you. Collaboration can take many forms, whether it’s co-hosting a podcast episode, developing new content, or creating products that align with our shared values.
If you’re interested in collaborating, you can connect with me through my website or social media channels. I’m excited to hear your ideas and explore how we can work together to create impactful and engaging experiences for our audiences.
