We were lucky to catch up with Celeste Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Celeste, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience, for me, springs from a deep-rooted passion for art and design, intertwined with a profound belief in their transformative power. Growing up, I was surrounded by creativity; my parents were both artists, and our home was a vibrant tapestry of colors, textures, and stories. This upbringing instilled in me not only an appreciation for beauty but also a relentless drive to share it with the world.
When I founded the gallery and interior design business, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. The art world is unpredictable, and interior design projects often come with their own set of unique challenges. However, every obstacle I face is an opportunity to innovate and grow. My resilience is fueled by the artists and clients I work with—their trust in my vision and their joy upon seeing the final result are incredibly motivating.
Moreover, resilience is about adaptability. The world of art and design is ever-evolving, and staying ahead requires continuous learning and a willingness to embrace change. Whether it’s integrating new technology, exploring emerging art forms, or understanding shifting market trends, I remain committed to evolving my practice.
Lastly, my resilience is anchored in a supportive community. From my dedicated team to the network of artists and clients who believe in our mission, their encouragement and collaboration provide the strength to navigate any setback. Together, we create spaces and experiences that inspire, uplift, and endure.
In essence, my resilience is a blend of passion, adaptability, community support, and an unwavering commitment to the transformative power of art and design. It’s this combination that keeps me moving forward, no matter the challenges that come my way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey with Oditto Gallery and Celeste Jones Interiors are passion, adaptability, and an eye for detail.
1. Passion: My unwavering passion for art and design has been the driving force behind both Oditto Gallery and Celeste Jones Interiors. This passion fueled my perseverance during challenging times and kept me motivated to continuously innovate and elevate my work. For those early in their journey, I advise immersing yourself deeply in your field. Attend exhibitions, network with fellow artists and designers, and continuously seek inspiration. Let your passion be the cornerstone of your efforts, as it will sustain you through highs and lows.
2. Adaptability: The art and design industries are constantly evolving, with new trends, technologies, and market dynamics. Being adaptable allowed me to stay relevant and responsive to these changes. I embraced new tools, techniques, and ideas, which often led to unexpected opportunities and growth. For newcomers, it’s crucial to cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning. Stay curious, be open to new experiences, and don’t fear change. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
3. Eye for Detail: A keen eye for detail has been essential in ensuring the quality and uniqueness of both the gallery’s offerings and interior design projects. This meticulousness not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also builds trust and satisfaction among clients and artists. To develop this skill, focus on honing your observational skills. Study the intricacies of artworks, analyze successful design projects, and seek feedback to refine your work. Practice patience and strive for excellence in every aspect of your craft.
Advice for Early Journey:
– Cultivate Your Passion: Dive deep into your interests and let your passion drive your efforts. The more you immerse yourself in what you love, the more authentic and compelling your work will be.
– Embrace Change: Stay adaptable and open to new ideas and approaches. The ability to pivot and embrace new directions can set you apart and open doors to new opportunities.
– Focus on Quality: Pay attention to the details and strive for excellence in everything you do. High-quality work speaks for itself and builds a strong reputation.
Remember, success is a journey, not a destination. Stay passionate, adaptable, and detail-oriented, and you’ll be well-equipped to navigate and thrive in the world of art and design.
