Meet Todd Stark

We were lucky to catch up with Todd Stark recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Todd, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem through a combination of education, setting small goals, and building a strong support network. Learning about my industry and acquiring relevant skills provided a solid foundation. Achieving small, realistic goals built my confidence over time. Surrounding myself with mentors and a supportive community offered valuable feedback and encouragement. Embracing failures as learning opportunities and maintaining a healthy work-life balance also played crucial roles in boosting my self-esteem.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

If you can dream it, we can do it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three most impactful areas in my journey were learning CAD design software, mastering welding, and maintaining a drive to continually learn and push myself. For those early in their journey, I advise immersing yourself in CAD through online courses and practice, seeking hands-on welding experience through classes or apprenticeships, and cultivating a mindset of constant growth. Stay curious and never stop learning, as this drive will propel you forward.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I write down everything that needs to be done on paper. I start with a small, easy task and cross it off, which helps build momentum. My advice is to break tasks into manageable steps and focus on one thing at a time. This approach can make even the most daunting workload feel more achievable.
