We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anthony Gaudio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Our work ethic comes from a deep passion for creating something truly special. At Drunk Tony’s and with our pasta sauce, Gaudio Gourmet Selections, it’s not just about making pasta sauce, it’s about bottling up a taste of Italian tradition and sharing it with our customers. Just like family tradition of simmering sauce for hours with love, we put the same dedication and care into every jar. It’s about creating a product that brings families together and creates lasting memories around the dinner table. That kind of purpose is what fuels the drive to constantly improve and perfect what we do here in our company.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Expanding from our food truck concept to jarred shelf stable pasta sauce is our new and exciting venture. We are not afraid to spice things up a bit. We have the classics covered, sure, but we’re also dreaming up new flavor combinations that’ll knock your socks off.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The skills I have developed over the years such as mechanical skills and know how have been one of the main qualities to make our food truck venture so successful. In almost four years of service, I have done everything from rebuild the drive shaft to more extensive jobs such as replacing the motor of the food truck! Our combined 25 years or grocery retail experience have had a pivotal role in the day-to-day procedures for running our food truck.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
What gets us fired up? Bottling up a taste of Italian tradition and sharing it with the great people of the low country in the form of Gaudio Gourmet Selections pasta sauce. Keep your eyes peeled for availability in select retail locations & exciting new releases coming down the pipeline. We’re talking savory recipes, limited-edition flavors, and enough deliciousness to make your taste buds do a happy dance. You heard it here first!
