Meet Anel Mancilla

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anel Mancilla. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Anel , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I cultivated my self-confidence by attuning myself to the needs of my body and listening to its signals. Instead of seeking external validation, I redirected my energy towards introspection and self-approval. It was through embracing vulnerability that I discovered my inner strength, allowing me to fully accept myself in the present moment. This acceptance became the foundation upon which I built self-awareness, acceptance, and personal growth. By acknowledging and embracing my vulnerabilities, I embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery and self-belief. It is through this process that I continue to nurture and expand my self-confidence, unlocking new levels of self-empowerment and personal development.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Hi everyone, my name is Anel Mancilla. 200hrYTT
My devotion for a healthy life started since 2019, where I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and self-body awareness. It all started when I faced a deficiency in my auto-immune system, which made me realize the importance of understanding the ways my body communicates with me. This experience led me to attune myself with higher vibrations and consciousness allowing me to let go of the things that were not serving my highest purpose.

In 2022, I became a certified Yoga Instructor, specializing in yoga sculpt – a unique practice that combines yoga and weights. Through my classes, I have created a safe and nurturing environment for self-exploration, personal growth, and building a supportive community.

In the realms of wellness, I’ve discovered that every space I inhabit holds a unique energy. Whether it’s the studio, the gym, or the great outdoors, each environment offers its own distinct format, yet the essence of my approach remains the same: to empower individuals to connect with their inner strength, foster self-awareness, and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being.

From the transformative practices at Yoga Lab Millenia to the challenging yet accessible classes at Core Power Yoga, to the Rev body strength experience and the personalized training sessions at GreenSpeed Training facility, my mission remains constant: to guide individuals on their own path to empowerment, self-discovery, and growth.

In every space, I strive to infuse my teaching with the same energy, passion, and compassion. The formats may vary, but the intention remains the same: to help individuals unlock their full potential and radiate inner peace and confidence.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Throughout my journey, I have developed and honed several key skills that have played a crucial role in my personal and professional growth. These skills have been instrumental in shaping who I am today and have greatly contributed to my success as a Yoga-fitness Instructor.

Resilience: I have cultivated a strong sense of resilience, allowing me to push through challenging times of self-doubt and adversity. This ability to bounce back has not only helped me overcome obstacles in my own practice but has also allowed me to support and motivate my students through their own journeys.

Compassion: One of my core values is compassion, both towards myself and others. I believe that a compassionate approach is essential in creating a safe and inclusive environment for personal growth and self-exploration. By fostering a sense of empathy and understanding, I aim to create a space where individuals feel supported and empowered to embrace their own unique journeys.

Discipline: I approach my practice and teaching with a high level of discipline. This commitment to consistency and dedication has enabled me to continuously improve and refine my skills as an instructor. By setting and maintaining a disciplined routine, I am able to provide my students with a structured and impactful learning experience.

Curiosity: I have always maintained a sense of curiosity and an open-hearted approach to learning. This mindset allows me to remain receptive to new ideas, techniques, and philosophies in the world of yoga. By continuously seeking knowledge and staying curious, I strive to provide my students with fresh perspectives and innovative practices.

These skills – resilience, compassion, discipline, and curiosity – have been fundamental in my personal and professional growth as a Yoga-fitness Instructor. They have not only helped me overcome challenges but have also allowed me to create a supportive and enriching environment for my students. I am confident that these skills will continue to drive my success and positively impact the lives of those I have the privilege to teach.

If I could advice younger generations I would say, never stop moving, never stop playing, never stop improving yourself! Life is a short ride, make the best out of it and always have fun!

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

As part of my own healing journey, I’ve found solace in several books that have helped me navigate the path to wellness. If I had to recommend some, I’d suggest:

“The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel van der Kolk
“The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz
“The Power of Vulnerability” by Brené Brown
“12 Rules for Life” by Jordan Peterson
“Sacred Geometry” by Jemma Foster
“Exploring the Hermetic Tradition” by Terrance McKenna
“Out of Your Mind” by Alan Watts

One quote that has resonated with me is from Alan Watts: “Nothing can be held on to. And if you go with the flux, you flow with it. However, if you resist the stream, it fights you. If you realize this, you swim with the flow, you go with it, and you are at peace.”
This wisdom has helped me cultivate a sense of acceptance and surrender in the face of life’s uncertainties.
